I occasionally make a bmp graphic from photos I've taken or friends send me, and set it as a desktop graphic in W98. Have never tried testing the system's speed without it. With the L100 CPU clicked from 166 up to 266, I'm definatley going to be needing one of those in the heat of the summer. John Musielewicz doesn't seem to be reading the list these days. I gave the impression that XP actually ran pretty well, but just that it took a while to boot.
