[Linux-Desktops] ath10k issues on XPS 15 9560

2020-08-11 Thread Henrique Ferreiro

[EXTERNAL EMAIL]

Hi! I have some intermittent failures with my Wifi that require me to
restart NetworkManager every once in a while.
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196649 matches my dmesg logs
but the bug was closed as invalid stating that it seems like a hardware bug.

I wonder if there's anything that can be done from Dell to fix this.

Thanks,
Henrique.

I'm sorry, after further testing, this seems like a software issue from an
update at the time of the firmware update. In any case, should I report
firmware issues here?

[Linux-Desktops] report firmware bug

2017-08-25 Thread Henrique Ferreiro
Hi!

I have a Dell XPS 15 9560 and happily update firmware using gnome-software.
Unfortunately, I have a few problems since the last firmware update,
0.1.3.4. Apparently I cannot downgrade the firmware (
https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/192) though I was told to report
that to Dell Support. My attempts at doing that involved running some
Windows software (Dell Detect).

Do you know how to report firmware issues to Dell?

Cheers,
Henrique.
