[Patch] Correct Signal Strength values for STB0899
Hi, first of all I have to say that this patch is not from me. It's from rotor-0.1.4mh-v1.2.tar.gz Thx to the author of that patch and the modified rotor Plugin. I think he's a friend of Mike Booth I think it should be included into s2-liplianin. With this patch all dvb-s and dvb-s2 signal strength values are scaled correctly. kind regards Newsy STB0899_signal_strength_v3patch Description: Binary data

Is there any limit in stb6100 driver that prevents tuning SR 1 Msps
Hi, i tried tuning to a channel that has a SR 1 Msps in DVB-S with szap and I get using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' FE_SET_FRONTEND failed: Invalid argument is there any limit in driver that doesn't allow my TT S2-3200 to try to tune into that tranponder? I know according to specification card only supports tuning from 1 Mbps - 30 Mbps, but that's specification for most cards. Most of the cards can also lock at signals with lower SRs. There are some low SR channels on Astra 3a http://flysat.com/astra23.php 12660 V and 12661 V with Technisat Skystar 2 it's working without a problem. kind regards Newspaperman -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line unsubscribe linux-media in the body of a message to majord...@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html

thx Manu for your quick answer. I tried that patch, at least on those 8psk 3 3/4 on thor 1 West it didn't solve the problem, but I'm not sure if they really use inverted spectrum on that transponder. Let me know if you need more info (like putting some more printksin the source). Bye Manu Sorry for the late reply, but the new list confuses the hell out of me and I missed this message, somehow... Attached is a log file with the results of dvb-apps/szap on a 3 3/4 channel using a http://jusst.de/hg/v4l-dvb clean compile and cold boot as recommended. Also loaded stb6100 and stb0899 with verbose=5 Command line used and result: r...@vdr:/usr/local/src/v4l-dvb_multi/dvb-apps/util/szap# ./szap -c /video/channels.conf -n 7 reading channels from file '/video/channels.conf' zapping to 7 '[006b]': sat 0, frequency = 12012 MHz H, symbolrate 3000, vpid = 0x1031, apid = 0x1032 sid = 0x1004 using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' status 00 | signal 7fb2 | snr | ber | unc fffe | status 00 | signal 7fb2 | snr | ber | unc fffe | [...] status 00 | signal 7fb2 | snr | ber | unc fffe | status 00 | signal 7fb2 | snr | ber | unc fffe | After that szapping to that problematic channel, I tried a DVB-S channel, which locks without problems. r...@vdr:/usr/local/src/v4l-dvb_multi/dvb-apps/util/szap# ./szap -c /video/channels.conf -H -n 33 reading channels from file '/video/channels.conf' zapping to 33 'FOX': sat 0, frequency = 11617 MHz V, symbolrate 2750, vpid = 0x1b30, apid = 0x1b31 sid = 0x using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' status 00 | signal 49% | snr 0% | ber 0 | unc -2 | status 1e | signal 0% | snr 0% | ber 0 | unc -2 | FE_HAS_LOCK Going to test your the same multiproto tree _with_ both patches you mentioned early on this thread. BTW, I can see all those channels just fine using a DM800 and the provider original decoder with my subscription card. I'm positive that dish/lnb/connections aren't the problem. Thanks for taking the time to address this particular issue. Chris As promised, a log with the exact same conditions described above, but with increase_timeout.patch and fix_iterations.patch applied, referred to on this same thread. can S2-3200 do APSK32 and APSK16?
On 13e the italians use dvb2 modulation 16APSK. tp. 7 (11,334 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3) tp. 9 (11,373 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3) how to receive those channels with S2-3200? Is there a missing part in the driver for APSK? -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line unsubscribe linux-media in the body of a message to majord...@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
