I should add that Dorfmueller's dissertation is centered on Mus Ms 1512. The manuscript also contains instructions on playing the lute, tuning and fretting. In two places the manuscript has the date 1533. Kurt Dorfmueller believes it was copied at tghe Munich court between 1533 and 1544.
