Re: elsart.layout
Rod It appeared to have been merged badly. There were some extra dash Rod and characters floating around. So essentially, it is the Rod patch done correctly. No change in functionality. Maybe is it because I adjusted the spacing and rewrote Elseveir as Elsevier. Basically I think it is correct. JMarc My humblest apologies...I seemed to have once again been baffled by CVS. After doing an update/make, the elsart.layout file I ended up with didn't work, and had extra - and bits in it. Deleting the file, and updating again seems to have resulted in a working elsart file. Sorry about that. Rod _ rod | Beneath the waves, the waves / That's where I will be / | I'm going to see the cow beneath the sea. | They Might Be Giants, Lincoln

Re: elsart.layout
Hi Andreas. I already posted this layout (template) to the lyx list. you can find it (together with some modifications/improvement I guess) on : http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-users@lists.lyx.org/ and searching for elsart. You will find that it is not a full layout, just a few tricks to produce an "elsart compatible" latex output for simple papers. But you are welcome improving it :-)) It's not so easy to use (use "change environment depth" to put parts of the front matter at the right level), and I think I could modify this part using latex code, but in this case the output will not be in "pure" elsart format, just "compatible". It would be more "clean" to modify LyX to handle such kind of construction/layout. That's why I am forwarding this mail to the dev. list, as a suggestion for the future. (Hello Developpers, hope you are well) :-)). I have not been very successful in creating my own layout file for this kind of publication based on the Elsevier Latex Style file. But from reading above posting you seemed to me to be much more advanced in writing a layout file for elsart-based publications. I was wondering if you ever made the layout file you created and described in the posting publicly available and if yes, where I could obtain a copy. It would be nice to see layout files, to become available much more and it would help Lyx -which I really like- to become more usable for a wider range of people!
