IndentFirst Problem

2000-03-30 Thread Diego A. Puertas F.

Hello list, at last, my thesis is finished, but I still have a problem

IndentFirst is indenting allrigth all the first paragraphs, except for
the ones that are after a enumerate, description or itemize paragraph.

Anyone, can help? I'll apreciate very much your anwser on this one.

Thanks.

After upgrading from ip-filter3.3.3 to 3.3.11 on our sparc-solaris-2.6

Heavy hands on keyboard

2000-03-30 Thread Ralph Boland

I touch type (not overly well) and tend to hold my fingers
on the keys which sometimes results in a typed character
being repeated multiple times as a result of the autorepeat

For example I might accidentally mispell the word

I would like to invoke the XAutoRepeatOff(display) function to turn

Is there a way of doing this in lyx? I don't know how I can

A virtual energy density sensor for active noise control
\layout Standard

This invention relates to a new type of sensor for active noise control
 systems.
In most conventional active noise control systems microphones are used
 as pressure error sensors.
These tend to lead to poor global control in heavily damped enclosures,
but they do tend to produce small, well controlled regions at the sensor.
As an alternative to minimising pressures at the microphone locations,
it is possible to control energy density.
This has been shown to produce a broader zone of local control, but still
 localised to the actual transducers.
\layout Standard

The invention which is the subject of this document has the advantage that
it it can sense, and therefore control, energy density at any location
 near to the actual transducers.
The advantage of this approach is that the bulky transducer arrangement
used to sense energy density is moved away from the desired control location
 (typically a passengers head).
The way this is achieved is by using a 7-microphone transducer arrangement
for three-dimensional sound fields (or 3-microphone transducer for one-dimensio
nal sound fields).
 Figure

A virtual energy density sensor for active noise control

Hmm, this happens because LyX does not put a paragraph break between

rdr on internal network works under 3.3.11

2000-03-30 Thread Ronald Florence

After upgrading from ip-filter3.3.3 to 3.3.11 on our sparc-solaris-2.6
server, I was delighted to find that

   rdr le0 24.7.4.75/32 port pop3 -> 192.101.32.1 port pop3 tcp

which crashed the server on 3.3.3, works on 3.3.11. The purpose is to
allow laptops to use the exterior network address for POP, even when
they are hooked up on the inside network so users don't have to change
the POP address when they move back and forth from connections outside
the network to those inside.

Thanks to Darren and others for the continued refinements and
additions to ip-filter.

I have used Lyx to write a provisional patent. I've attached a very brief
example of how you can do it. You will need lineno.sty, see

I don't know how this package will go with two column mode though.
