Center column with fixed size
Hi, I am using LyX 1.0.4 and I can't center a column in a table once I have given a width to it (see the end of the message for an example) 1. This problem has already been asked few months ago in the lyx-users list but I didn't understand what is the latest recommended version to do that ? 2. As it is not easy for me right now to update to latest LyX version (compiler compatibility problems), I have used the trick proposed by D.Tsur : put \usepackage{array} in the preamble and {\centering}p{width} in the Special column alignment field in Extra Table panel but it gives bad results. The cells are centered (OK!) but strange horizontal lines appear in the Table (dvi or ps) ... Does anyone have succeeded to do that in an other way maybe ? Thanks in advance Krzys ... For example, I can't do this simple table : - | 1 | 2 | - where each column has the same fixed width and each column is centered. Once I have set the width I can't change the alignment in the Table Panel, it is automatically locked to Left. So the best I have is : - | 1 | 2 | - And If I go to the Extra Panel and I put c for the Special Column Alignment, it changes the width of the column to default size ! ... __ ifrance.com, l'email gratuit le plus complet de l'Internet ! vos emails depuis un navigateur, en POP3, sur Minitel, sur le WAP... http://www.ifrance.com/_reloc/email.emailif

Line spacing within figure float captions
Hello. I wrote an article style document in 12pt font, double-spaced, using lyx-1.1.6fix2. What I want is for *everything* to be double-spaced, including the abstract, figure captions, and so forth. Everything looks to have the spacing I want, except that my figure captions aren't double-spaced (4 lines per vertical inch), but rather appear to have one-half spacing. I have no idea why, unless there is something inherent to the caption environment that makes it so. The Question: How may I set the caption line spacing so that I get double-spaced caption text?
