Does somebody know, how a particular reference is searched for if it is found in let's say bib1.bib and bib2.bib and bib5.bib? According to the sequence in the BibTeX data bank (which is, let's say 1,2,3,4,5)? integrate source code snippets (verbatim text?) into document
Hi there, I'd like to put short source code snippets (from 1 to 10 lines max) into my text, in typewriter font (I am writing a coding styleguide). I tried to just tweak the font settings but was not happy with it because lyx/latex still treats it as normal text, and creates margins at the beginning of a paragraph etc; I also could not find a way to integrate tabs or spaces for source code indentation like this: void foo() { // indented text goes here } I know from my early and long gone LaTeX days that there is a \verbatim{} command in LaTeX - would that be a solution and if yes could I use that? Or is there any other better suited solution to my problem? I'm using LyX 1.3.2 for Windows and the article (AMS) document class thx, Uwe

Changing language of LyX user interface.
Some time ago, I was experimenting with LyX and found a hint about how to change the whole GUI language, including the documentation, by adding two lines to a deeply buried file including fr or ru, depending on what language in which you wanted to see the interface. I thought I had saved the advice page well indexed, but it seems I have lost it. I know that I can access the foreign documentation within LyX's package, but it would be much better to have the original hint on hand. Somehow, it is possible, by adding two short lines, somewhere, to flip LyX into a different given language. If anyone has used this trick and can advise me on a URL of simply remind me which lines I have to add where, I would be very grateful. Peter Ringwood

\fancyhead{} \fancyhead[RO,LE]{\slshape Vorwort} \fancyfoot[LE,RO]{\thepage} \cfoot{} this is stuff which should completely go into the preamble. Then you have no pagenumbers for dvi and pdf output. But I want to have pagenumbers! Okay for the idea that it should be put in the preamble but hwo do I change then the header for chapter 1 to 10 , there it should be \fancyhead[RO,LE]{\slshape \leftmark} chapter 10 - 20 should have \fancyhead[RO,LE]{\slshape Tipps} So I put it in the text. I feared it was not the exakt way but it works. But it might be a solution to put the fancyfoot in the preamble.
