Re: avoiding indentation within footnotes and adding vertical space under headings
Dear All, I am currently finalising my PhD dissertation in Law. I'm using Lyx 1.6 on windows xp (no package yet for lyx 1.6 on my mandriva :-)) and would need some help. The class document I use is book (koma-script). The first think I would like to do is to to avoid indentation within the footnotes. I guess this is possible to do it with footmisc but I didn't manage to put the right commands into my preamble until now. try with: \usepackage[para]{footmisc} in preamble Plus, with koma-scritp specific command you can formated your footnotes. See user guide of this style. The second thing I would need to do is to add extra vertical space under the subparagraph and paragraph headings to make the space between these headings and the begining of the text of the next paragraph more or less the same than between the section heading and the begining of the next paragraph. I'm sure this is not complicated to do but I am a bit running out of time and I must print the final document in a few days so I would appreciate if someone could help me to sort this out. Nicolas titlesec pacakge have all this options but is not easy to customize. See doc. Regards Marcelo ¡Buscá desde tu celular! Searching
Hi, Is there a way to search for text content, irrespective of markup? e.g. if I have H\textsubscript{2}O or H$_{\text{2}}$O in the text, searching for 'H2O' results in 'not found'. This is a bit difficult when writing docs with parameters like scond (S\textsubscript{cond}) and sacin (S\textsubscript{acin}). Many thanks Nick Bell

Re: Mactex 2008 seems to have broken Beamer - solved
To reply to myself Maybe I have just forgotten how to do this, but I have an existing file that I used the article (koma+ beamer) class with OR article (beamer) class . However, switching classes just compiles as an article and not a presentation. Switching to the Beamer class gives me a presentation but with slides that are two to three times the depth they should be. But otherwise OK. Just in case it was a Lyx 1.5.6/Mactex 2008 thing. I updated to lyx 1.6 and its exactly the same. However, the sample Beamer file works fine . It was of course me getting confused, The slides were the wrong size because I had custom page margins, which I assume were needed before, but not needed now. Also I am amobviously confused about the differeces between article(koma+beamer) and just article (beamer)

Yes! You are right Vincent. I can get the menu bar pressing Alt-F and then all other shortcuts work again. This is definitely a windows related bug (present with both installers). I had already reported it, but Jürgen Spitzmüller could not reproduce it, therefore I asked here. Thanks for your help. Cheers, Nicolás Vincent van Ravesteijn - TNW wrote: Nicolás wrote: Hi! bibdesk reference exportation
Hello again, I know that there is the possibility tho export one's bibliographic references and I already did this several times. However, by exporting the whole library into let's say a html-file, all the references are shown with the latest-inserted on top and the rest descending according to the date I typed them in. Does anybody knows a way to export the references in alphabetical order? A close look at the preferences of the program yielded no answer for me. :/ I use Bibdesk (Bibtex for mac) 1.3.18. thanks a lot! Ben
