I am surprised you said that. I've tested and voting was possible without
logging in. I've just enter the survey from a PC that had never been on
polldaddy.com and the survey is open. And nobody else complains about
logging in.

Disable autosaving

Hi! Is it possible somehow to disable autosaving? I'm experiencing a bug with
autosaving related to Snow Leopard, and I would relly like to disable
autosaving. The checkbox in the preferencing seems to be broken (reported this
bug). I disabled it and changed the interval, but I still get autosavings every
5 minutes. Is there any other way to stop autosaving?

OK, that can be done, indeed. But my installation does not seem to 
understand \boxright. The pdf output simply shows  pboxrightq where 
the symbol should have been...

If \raisebox is the only solution, could you suggest how to use \raisebox for
just the footnote symbol in a single instance?

greek accent does not work in the editor

Hello, when i press the ; character before a vowel greek letter to get a
accent to it, it does not work. The problem is that it appears only in lyx
because everywhere it is operational eg. ά ή ... I tried various language
setting but with no results. I use lyx 1.6.4 and my os is gentoo.

alignment, although the factor of 1000 is the maximum. Could it be,  
that the microtype-package is not properly installed? How could I

The problem was that, when I wrote '\boxright', Lyx, for some reason 
added an extra '\'. Once I've noticed this in the source window, I've 
fiddled with it till it has disappeared -it works when adding a space 
after \boxright- and now it's perfect.

Hello.  Recently I have downloaded LyX and read the tutorial, etc.  I would
like to see my footnotes for each section renumbered starting with 1.  I am
using the unordered section* selection from the paragraph environment
followed by a verse and then a new section.  I tried inserting the code
\...@addtoreset{footnote}{section} in the document preamble and still
nothing.  I even tried rewriting the preamble as
\...@addtoreset{footnote}{section*} with an * over the section to try getting
it to work.  Still nothing.  Do i need to download something else or am I
just missing a crucial element in using LyX?  I have the document class set
to book.  Thank you in advance.

Hmm. Never noticed this, but it does seem that \...@addtoreset doesn't work 
with starred environments. Try this:


\let\oldsec=\section

\def\section{\setcounter{footnote}{0}\oldsec}


That will do all sections and starred sections.
