It's useful if you respond to the list (don't worry if you forgot, I
forget also sometimes). Also, let's note for archival purposes

Pages numbering in the right upper corner

2014-09-22 Thread Harold Mouras
Dear Lyx Users,

the journal for which I am writing an article is asking a different page
numbering with page numbers go in the upper right-hand corner, starting
with p. 2 as the Abstract in the manuscript (which is the page 3 of the LyX
document).

How would that be possible ?

Thank you very much in advance,

LyX 2.0.3 .layout file for LaTeX class apa6 (American Psychological Association (APA), v. 6)

2014-09-22 Thread Alek
Hi all,

as other users of the currently in Debian 7 stable ('wheezy') included
version LyX 2.0.3-3 might also have a need for a current apa6.layout
file usable with this older version of LyX (to be able to use the
LaTeX APA style in version 6), I thought I'll just send it around (see
attached file).
Basically its the version out of the current LyX 2.1.1 source code,
where a few lines got commented and the Format was adjusted.
Although I am quite sure this is not 'the way' to do this, it still
does work for me, and maybe also for others. (Additional hint: you
might want to use apacite, noextraspace as option for the document
class in your LyX document settings)

Greetings,
Alek

Hi Patrick,

It's useful if you respond to the list (don't worry if you forgot, I
forget also sometimes). Also, let's note for archival purposes
(someone might have the same problem you're having and find through
google this email thread, which is archived) that you opened at ticket
here: http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/9278

Did you try loading natbib (either directly in the preamble or through
 LyX's GUI)?

Pages numbering in the right upper corner

2014-09-22 Thread Harold Mouras
Dear Lyx Users,

the journal for which I am writing an article is asking a different page
numbering with page numbers go in the upper right-hand corner, starting
with p. 2 as the Abstract in the manuscript (which is the page 3 of the LyX
document).

How would that be possible ?

Thank you very much in advance,
Best,

Greetings,
Alek

Hiy Scott,

thanks! Closing the source view reduced the lag significantly, but a
little remains. Didn't expect this to be a cause of lag.
I also tried a new document but couldn't see a noticeable change.
I'm using Lyx 2.1.1 in a virtualized linux.

Note that using a virtualized linux may also cause redrawing of screen

Hi Patrick,

It's useful if you respond to the list (don't worry if you forgot, I
forget also sometimes). Also, let's note for archival purposes
(someone might have the same problem you're having and find through
google this email thread, which is archived) that you opened at ticket
here: http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/9278

Best,

Scott

Pages numbering in the right upper corner

2014-09-22 Thread Harold Mouras
Dear Lyx Users,

the journal for which I am writing an article is asking a different page
numbering with "page numbers go in the upper right-hand corner, starting
with p. 2 as the Abstract in the manuscript (which is the page 3 of the LyX
document).

How would that be possible ?

Thank you very much in advance,
Best,
Harold

LyX 2.0.3 .layout file for LaTeX class apa6 ("American Psychological Association (APA), v. 6")

Basically its the version out of the current LyX 2.1.1 source code,
where a few lines got commented and the "Format" was adjusted.
Although I am quite sure this is not 'the way' to do this, it still
does work for me, and maybe also for others. (Additional hint: you
might want to use "apacite, noextraspace" as option for the document
class in your LyX document settings)

Greetings,
Alek
