unable to preview .pdf

2014-10-06 Thread Renato Pontefice
Hi,
om my pc
after installing the 2.1.2 new version of lyx, I've tried to preview a
koma2 file. I received an error about the space on the path, where the file
was searched.

So, I've uninstalled the 2.1.2 ver and reinstalled the 2.0.6 version (also
because between win and linux, I've foud other prob.).

But, when I try to preview the pdf (clicking on the first button at the
left) I receive the following error:

the file does not exist c:\..path.user.pdf

I can't understand why.

Can someone help me?

That may be the case, as I have now solved the problem (but not found an

So it turns out I had a bunch of auxiliary files related to the failing
document in the document's own directory. But none related to its
successful twin. (These files were left over from the command line
compilations). Once I deleted those, compilation finally succeeded.

I think the explanation is that you suffered from this issue:

Thanks Julien,

that sounds exactly right. I was not aware of this LaTeX behavior
(TEXINPUTS, etc). It would indeed be great if LyX could produce a warning
when it finds itself in such a situation (old bbl file in doc's dir). It
would have certainly saved me a few hours of work.

Cheers,

Stefano

Is there an ETA for a retina-supported version? :-)

Thanks!

Hi all,

I just installed lyx 2.1.2 on OSX 10.9.5, using MacTeX in background.

I’m a little bit confused because the font in the editor area and also the

to get antialiased fonts and clear icons?

Thanks a lot! - Tino

Hi Tino,

you're using a display with very high resolution, the so called Retina-display.
LyX isn't ready to display the contents of the work area and the icons on
a Mac with Retina display. So, no, there is no option to enable the display
with full screen resolution on your Mac. You have to wait for a new version
of LyX.
