These colors are not semantic (and thus not changeable in the prefs)
but hardcoded in the layout file. You have to change the layout file or
make adjustments in Document > Settings > Local Layout, e.g.

Style Address
LabelFont
  Color   Blue
EndFont
End

Yes, thanks: it worked perfectly. Maybe my response got lost… Anyway, I do hope
it becomes part of v. 2.3.

I guess that’s why I didn’t see any activity in a while… 

This is what I have done:

1.I saved the files from Andrew of November 17, 2016, in the %appdata%

Any clues as to what may be wrong?

The files should go in your LyX2.2/layouts folder Bernt. Shift them
there and then reconfigure.

Andrew

Changing GUI color of environment labels

2017-02-13 Thread Matthias Wirtz

Hello,

for changing GUI colors one can use Tools->Preferences->Look/Colors.

Unfortunately I can not identify the entry responsible for the
text/background color of environment labels.

In classes like beamer or letter you have environment names "Sent to
Address" or "Opening" which appear on the screen in order to specify the
corresponding values. The color of these labels is dark blue by default.

I want to change the color but can't identify which entry in the list of
color labels is responsible.

Thx for the help.

This is handled by the document class. You are using IEEEtran, and it
has decided that footnotes within the title information don't have
corresponding marks. So, if you don't like that behavior, you should try
a different document class. If, on the other hand, you really do need to
use IEEEtran, then, well, that is how the IEEE says it should be.

Subfigure without number

2017-02-13 Thread Roberto Sciacqua
Hi,I'm writing my thesis using LyX, v. 2.2.2, and I've got a problem with
subfigures.
I'd like to recall the label in the description of the Figure like (a) and (b),
but using the cross reference I have 1(a) and 1(b); instead in the text I want
exactly 1(a) and 1(b). Like:

(a) graph1
 (b) graph2
   Figure 1: (a) graph1 and explanation, (b) graph2 and explanation

In fig. 1(a) there's graph1 about...

I've tried using \subref command, and it works but with an error: "Argument of
\caption@ydblarg has an extra }." that I don't understand.
There's some method to overcome this problem?
I hope I explained myself well.

When a citation is <(year)> there is no hyperref link at all!

Any suggestions, please, about how to ensure the linkage for the
second case?

foot note symbol in author listing

2017-02-13 Thread Bob Alvarez
I want to include my institution and email address in a footnote to my
name on the first page of the article. I did this by inserting a
footnote from the menu on Lyx.

According to the User's Manual:
The footnote will appear in the output as a superscript number at the
text position where the footnote box is placed.

A preview (and exporting the pdf output) of lyx file included below
shows that the footnote appears but there is no footnote symbol after my
name.

I would like to have a symbol to draw the reader's attention to the
information.

Ideas on how to do this?

Robert Alvarez
