Hi Richard, I'm a little puzzled why you would need that. LyX uses Qt, yes, but if I install LyX from the distribution it is about 9 month older than the last release. Because this one does not have binaries for all distributions, I use to compile myself. Therefore I need the Qt library files. The error message is checking for Qt library name... failed configure: error: cannot compile a simple Qt executable. Einfache Lösung: Copy & Paste in ein neues leeres Dokument. s. Anhang
Hat bei mir funktioniert: PDF-export problelos.
Nur die Formatierung der ersten Zeile ging verloren. Ist ja leicht
wieder hergestellt ...

Hi Mike, as you wrote the chapter about initials in the extended user guide, you can certainly help me. I attach two files with initials. Initialen.lyx has 3 examples, but only the one that uses bigdrop looks o.k. The second file is an example from a LaTeX-book which I imported. It uses dropping and looks good. I'm using fancyhdr with the following ERT-commands for the headers:

and similar. Is there a way to print the headers inverse, i. e. white letter

2. by overwriting it in german.sty,
