Numbering figures' problem
Hello everybody I have a problem with lyx. when i draw a numbered figure or table, lyx works and gives it a correct number. the same for the next figure/table. But when i view the lyx file as PDF file and take a look to the figure and table's numbers i notice that all the figures and tables, of a same section or subsection, get the same number. I mean that when i write in lyx chapter 4-section 3(for example) and put 2 tables or figures that are numbered in lyx automatically as table or figure 6 and table or figure 7, then when i update the PDF, i notice that the 2 tables or figures get the same number like table 4.3 and not table 4.3.1 and table 4.3.2 or whatever is the correct number. i cannot understand the reason. can anyone help me?? it is very important. i am using lyx for my Thesis. i tried to save and close my lyx document. Then to open it again and click View PDF (pdflatex) to get whole document compiled again but it doesn't work..it doesn't change anything. i am using lyx 1.6.5 on windows vista sp 2, miktex 2.7, and Book (AMS) as document class Thanks in advance

Lyx Title problems

I am using lyx to write my thesis. But i have a problem. when i write the
title and then the author and I see them as PDF file I have a problem cause

stay blank. I wish to put title and author in the middle of the paper but i

Hello, I have a problem with aspell spell checker.I have lyx 1.3.7 for Windows and I followed the instuction to get everything working, but Lyx is not recognising any soell checker istalled!I tryed to reconfigure lyx several times whitout any results! Hi all users, I'm writing here due to a small problem I've seen in my LyX 1.1.6_fix1 (if I'm right...). I've noticed that when there's an image in my document (either a float or statical figure) i can see only one preview of the document (and I can generate only one dvi or ps) because, if I do any change after the preview, the change is not committed to the preview but only in the .lyx file. If there are no images, the problem doesn't appear at all! Is that thing solved in the newest release of LyX? I mean: is not a big problem 'cause in my Linux box the restart of LyX is really fast, so if I close LyX and then I restart it I can do one more preview, but I'd like to avoid this 'turn-off / turn-on' of the application which breaks my rhythm! :) Thank you in advance!!!
