Hi Paul, the automatic page-break of a long table inside a float does not occur. At least in my hands the table is printed over the end of the initial (table-) page after the pdflatex run. You have given more \span or marks than there were in the preamble to the \halign or \valign now in progress. So I'll assume that you meant to type \cr instead. Missing auhtor of Citations in pdf
Dear list,
first of all many thanks for your fast and numerous
replies to my first question :)
I guess I'll go for lyx for my thesis :)- so no I'm
playing around to get basic stuff working.
I do have a problem with citations.
In lyx each citation is displayed with correct
author,year and so on (dep. on the style I chose).
However, as soon as I export the file to e.g. pdf the
citations in the text read something like:
Church claims that earth is flat (author?) [1]
So the author is somehow not recognized correctly,
even though in the Reference-section at the end every
author is printed.
Any ideas?

lyx compatibility to MsWord etc
Hi all, I am about to begin to write up my Phd-thesis and would like to do this in lyx. One thing that worries me is that the Profs who will correct it are working in MsWord! Is there an tested/validated way to convert lyx files to .doc? I have read something about lyx-latex-rtf-doc . This sounds not really promising, I guess all the layout will be lost?!
