graphic and text wrapping it in Beamer
Is there a way to put text to the right of a figure in a beamer document? Wolfgang -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

I somehow managed to get a blue line at the left of a frame How do I get rid of it? Whatever I try it stays or the muddle becomes worse Wolfgang -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

MikTeX problem?
I run LyX 3.3.3 on the latest version of Windows 10, 64bit. Today when I tried to preview a LyX document, I got continuous questions about allowing MikTeX to update. If I start the MikTeX updater, I get this error message: [cid:image003.jpg@01D5C883.DE22A0E0] If I click “Yes” to see details, this is what I get: [cid:image004.jpg@01D5C883.DE22A0E0] Any ideas of what is wrong? -B -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

If I change something in my beamer document, e.g. to reduce it to a minimal example, I get these blue markings or crossed out text allover. Could I send it to you privately as an archive file? It is, however, 1.8 MB due to the graphics included. Otherwise I have to construct the presentation anew, but I would really like to know what happened and why I can' practically do anything now. I tried doing a domain lookup (nslookup) for "ftp.fernuni-hagen.de", and it failed (could not resolve the host). Either there is a typographical error in the URL for the mirror, or it is simply wrong (and you need to replace it with a valid mirror). Jürgen No, because I did not know how to do a screen shot with the Fujitsu lifebook (nothing worked with DRUCK, ALT DRUCK, ALT GR DRUCK and trying to paste it in Gimp). I renamed .lyx, started lyx anew and the Document> settings is now showing up again So this is solved, but would like to know why it failed before.
