Re: [M100] Looking for a T200
Hi Patrick: I have a Model 200 with manual (and perhaps some accessories (I have to check for those). It depends on what you mean by "reasonable". It is missing the battery cover, but I jury-rigged one out of hard plastic, so that functions just fine. It has one bank of memory. There are screen problems, insofar as the screen does not respond to keyboard input, including power on/off. The screen only appears intermittently. When the screen shows, the screen clock is working. The screen is unscratched; the keyboard seems in good shape, though it has been moderately used. It may be a screen cable problem. There is no case damage, though there was a security cable attached at one point. Back in the late '80s it worked just fine. Does anyone have one for sale? Thanks, Patrick
Re: [M100] m200.def --- eventually m200smallclib hopefully
Hi: I've got an M200 -- actually I may have more than one. What state of goodness is required? Ben From: M100 on behalf of Willard Goosey Sent: May 20, 2021 3:25 PM To: m100 list Subject: [M100] m200.def --- eventually m200smallclib hopefully So, due to popular demand (one d00d asked) I've started putting together a m200.def to match m100.def. This will hopefully lead to an equally (in)capable m200smallclib, but first things first!!! This is complicated by the fact that I don't have a m200... This is pre-alpha completely untested stuff! So, starting from the club100 scan of the m200 techref, there are some addresses I just can't read. They are: CHPLPT SNDCOM(*) INZCOM (*)also need to know if SNDCOM is the same evil hack of "jump into the middle of sd232 (which preserves BC) so we need a dummy value on the stack" as the m100 call. Also, to get smallclib's cstart.a85 fully working I need the m200 versions of these: RSTDOG (1bb1h on m100) POWERFLAG (0f932h on m100) Last week was hell at work so I haven't had a chance to do any other research. URLs to other m200 assembly docs welcome! Lastly, anybody have a m200 for sale? :-) Willard -- Willard Goosey goo...@sdc.org Socorro, New Mexico, USA I search my heart and find Cimmeria, land of Darkness and the Night. -- R.E. Howard
Re: [M100] Replacement rubber feet
I use a four C-sized battery pack I clothed in foam and car-cleaning goat leather many years ago -- the battery pack provides long-life power supply for the 100. I do have four stainless steel (?) rods that fit the support holes and provide about 2 1/4 extension outside of the 100 body, which can be anybody's for the cost of postage. They do need rubber feet. I've had those since the 1980s Ben From: M100 on behalf of p carey Sent: December 28, 2020 10:23 AM To: m...@bitchin100.com Subject: Re: [M100] Replacement rubber feet I've cut two #2 pencils about 2 inches down from the tip of the eraser and built up the diameter with masking tape so they fit very snuggly. Cheap and easy replacement legs.
Re: [M100] Anyone selling dead Model 100 (shells or otherwise)?
The reel to reel collection is audio. I collected a lot in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and my wife has been complaining that the entire basement has become a man-cave. Ben P.S. Kinda sounds like the symptoms of a bad memory nicd (I get the same thing on T200 when the memory supercap isn't charged after it's been sitting without batteries; this is why I'm going to change the supercap back to a nimh battery because the T200 doesn't handle lack of memory battery voltage very well). Does it refuse to power off when you press the power button while the screen is rolling/flickering? jim

Hi Russell: I'll check to see if any aren't working! You may have to wait a few days The keyboards all look solid; they aren't too badly worn. Nice thought Robert, but I don't have any parted out and don't have time to do that; right now I am completely occupied selling off bits and pieces of my reel-to-reel collection Josh: All I know about the 200 is that it seems to power up and occasionally shows the directory; otherwise the screen blacks out (i.e. all the pixels go black at the same time -- from what I remember, I think there is rolling bar that shows as well). Re: [M100] Missed out on ordering a REXCPM!
Hi: I'm now in the process of resurrecting my small fleet of WP2s and Tandy 100s (I think I have eight in total), which more than 20 years ago I had used for research with research assistants! While I will sell most of them, as I no longer do any work with research assistants, I will keep a couple, as I find the screen and keyboards easy on the eyes and hands. I will have to do some work on the batteries of course I would like to order REX/CPM for one of the ones that I am keeping. I hope I am not too late at the order desk, Steve! Ben Forster P.S.
