Re: [Mac-access]: does any one know how i can uninstall a app from themac?
Adrian, It really depends on the app. Most 95% of the time, all that you need to do is find it in your applications directory through your finder, then press command+delete on it. This should move it to the trash. Beware that this may or may not totally remove it. It depends on if there are preference files left behind. I personally recommend that you go to google, and do a search for an app called App Trap. I've found that it does the work of removing all those preferences files, if you want to do that as well. Otherwise, it's kind of hit and miss. Re: [Mac-access]: does any one know how i can uninstallaappfromthemac?
Sarah, I'm not doubting you at all, but I don't seem to be able to feel any air coming out at all where you described. Is it something you really do have to concentrate to feel? I know it's not gonna feel like a leaf blower, LOL! god forbid, but I literally feel nothing. Could it just be that my sence of feel is not sensitive enough to notice it? I do find that my hands are not always the most sensitive, so that could admittedly be the case. My macs have gotten warm, yes, but never to the point of over heating. The only time that happened with me was once when running a private seed beta of OSX, but being those seeds are governed by NDA, that's really all I can say regarding that. Again, I don't doubt you. I'm simply just saying I can't feel anything when I try, and was wonderring if it's normal that I may not. Should it be quite easy to tell? Re: [Mac-access]: Be My Eyes App
Cool, thanks, that's simple enough. When you hit the space, does it insert a space too? That would not be good for eMail addresses. Re: [Mac-access]: does any one know how i can uninstall aappfromthemac?
I read schematics on the ventilation system and it is located at the hinge where the monitor is . the place where the top panel ends and the monitor begins. You can feel the air coming out if you are paying attention. I tried no sleep then to and just about panicked when my mac, and others got very very hot. there's no ware else for that hot air to leave, a flawed design in my opinion but there it is. Take care and be blessed. Copy and paste this line ~/library It does to have to be upper case. Now find preference pains, and find the no sleep one. I do a cmd option f to search for no sleep. After you do that hit cmd back space to move it to the trash. Btw I would not recommend no sleep because of the way the ventilation system is designed. Re: [Mac-access]: does any one know howi canuninstall aappfromthemac?
So guys, He called me up on Skype, and I tried helping him. I think we have a bigger issue going on though than just removing No Sleep. It's not even letting us open up his Preference Paynes directory, whereby we could delete the No Sleep payne out of there. I've suggested he run a disk permissions repair. It's really bizarre, as He can get to the preference paynes directory just fine, but when he tries openning it up with right arrow, command+down arrow, or command+o, either of the three methods, it's just bonking at us. Yes, he was interacting with the browser, and we tried both in column view, as well as list view. Neither are working. I tried on my macbook pro which has No Sleep installed, just to see if I could replicate the problem, and I can't seem to be able to duplicate it on either Mavericks, or on Yosemite. I tried with two different mac systems. I'm totally baffled at this point. The only thing I can think to have him do is a disk permission repair. Do you all agree, at this point, that might be in order? Actually, her name was Kristin. We got married, but then one year later, she filed for divorce. It's a long story. I'd rather not go into it. We'll just say that the marriage would have inevitably fallen apart eventually had it not when it did. This is getting off topic bigtime, so I'll end it here, but we'll just leave it finally to say, it wasn't pretty. there is extremely bad blood against me now with her family, which is unfortunate. chris. --- Check out my web site at: http://www.clgproductions.net - Original Message - From: Glenn / Lenny glenner...@cableone.net To: OS X iOS Accessibility mac-access@mac-access.net Sent: Saturday, March 28, 2015 6:44 PM Subject: Re: [Mac-access]: Be My Eyes App I guess you do! Re: [Mac-access]: does any one know how i can uninstall a app from themac?
Oh, OK, OK. you're using No Sleep. OK, that is a preference payne, so that will actually be slightly different than what I told you initially. I still would look into getting App Trap though. I don't recall if it's free. I don't think it is. I think it was like... 99 cents. Very very worth it though. Go to: ~/Library Notice, this is your user library... tilde slash Library, with a cap L. If you're in your finder, just hit Command+Shift+G, then type in: ~/Library then hit return. In here, look for a folder called Preference Paynes Be very very careful. You're not wanting the folder simply called Preferences. The folder again that you want is called Preference Paynes. In this folder, locate No sleep. Then hit command+delete, and move it to the trash. Most likely, you'll have to enter your administrator password. Also, be sure that the app isn't running in your menu extras prior to doing this. vo+M M, or you can just hit ctrl+F8. Either one works. Then just vo+right arrow over through your menu extras and be sure it's not there, if it is! there, vo+space on it, then vo+down arrow to exit, quit, or whatever they call it, then hit vo+space on that option. You probably won't need to then reboot, but if things start behaving weird, then just hit ctrl+command+eject, and reboot the machine. Re: [Mac-access]: does any one know how i canuninstall aappfromthemac?
Why would you need to install ITunes? That comes installed already with OSX, so no need to install anything. [Mac-access]: Be My Eyes App
Hi, I was just wondering, from the users of the Be My Eyes app on IOS. Should one have to put in their eMail and password each time we use it? For those who have difficulty typing on their device, it makes it useless, and I'm not fond of typing in my eMail and password each time I use it. I have worked with others to use it successfully, and they have had to enter their information each time. I tried mine today, and it has been so long since I used it, I don't even remember which eMail account I used on it. Thanks for any feedback. Re: [Mac-access]: Be My Eyes App
Hello, After I did the last update, I needed to put in my credentials. I just opened the app and it asked if I wanted to the next available person. So, I haven't experience typing any info since.
