What anti virus program did you use. iv'e used clamxav with no issues what so ever. and I've been using it for about a year now. Can you reboot in to the consul and see if anything is up? See if you can hold down command r and start your mac, then after about 30 seconds let go and start vo. Then go to the disk utility and hit continue. Next Next choose your disk and hit the first aid tab then choose repair permissions and then scan for errors via the option called repair disk. if that does not work let us know and Im sure someone will be able to suggest more troubleshooting steps. The anti virus I've got is smart surfing for mac. By a company called trend micro. I pressed command r, and went through the steps to repair disk. I'm on the button, repair disk. I press shift control option space, to continue, but nothing happens. Actually press control option space. don't do the short key as it is not necessary. if the button becomes dimmed you will know you excicuted the operation. I've never heard of this software so let's hope someone on this list has. so they can be of further help. Take care.
