Reverse Colours On Mac

2014-06-11 Thread Eleanor Martha Burke
Hi All, I am wondering if I can have a hot key, or an Apple script for the
above, to reverse colours as a toggle like I have on my iPad Mini and
iPhone.

2014-06-11 Thread David Griffith

I have no experience of this but I put your question into Google and the
answer appears to be that there is already an inbuilt keyboard shortcut
which should do this for you.

You might want to take a look at
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4351

The article relates to Mountain Lion but it is worth a go to see if it still
works under Mavericks.

Yes, there is a keyboard shorcut available for this function. If I remember
correctly, the shorcut key was available by default in versions of OSX through
Snow Leopard, but it has been disabled by default since then. Here are the
steps to re-enable it.

1. Go to System Preferences Keyboard Shortcuts.
2. Interact with the Shorcuts Category Table.
3. Arrow down to “Accessibility.”
4. Press VO+J to jump to the Accessibility Shorcuts table.
5. Arrow down to “Invert Colors.”
6. Make sure the checkbox for this row is checked. It is unchecked by default
in recent OSX versions.
7. You also might want to change the default shortcut key assigned to this
function. If I recall correctly, the default shortcut key combination did not
work if VoiceOver was in use. I changed the default shortcut key combo on my
system to Command+Option+Shift+8, which works fine throughout my system and
does not seem to interfere with other shortcut keys.

Hi!
The default shortcut is part of the hotspot commands!
I've changed mine to Command+option+0 and that works fine!If I remember right
the Hotspot command is to save item at hotspot 8 but it is one of them!
