Actually Yahoo Groups is still a possibility... the article explains that they 
are cutting some features we don't use, but you can still communicate by email 
like we do.

[MacGroup] traveling wi-fi

Sometimes when I'm traveling I try to log into the wi-fi and it messes up the 
login process, and from then on I can't get it to ask me my name and stuff 
again and am stuck.  What to do in this situation?

products claim to use AI and detect about 99%.  I use SentinelOne.  However, 
Carbon Black is supposed to be even better than SentinelOne, with a 100% score.

We have a free monitor if anyone can use it.  It's a big ViewSonic CRT.  Its 
resolution is  2048 x 1536 @75Hz.  It has a VGA connector, but we also have a

If I understand you correctly, you can click on the file once in Finder, choose 
File:Get Info, go halfway down where it says "Open with:" and change it to not 
open with Bridge.  If you like, you can even "Change All" files like that one.

well.  Before that I had two ink-jets (different brand) and they had problems.

I've been using Lyft.  I like it!Much better than Louisville taxis in my 
experience.   It's not too expensive.  You can see on the map as the car 
approaches you.  You don't have to wait a long time to be picked up.

You might be able to simply create a new user and delete the existing user in 
System Preferences:Users & Groups.
That would leave your System and Applications intact.

(Apparently this was due to a bug in the upgrade to El Capitan.)

Yeah, I think Flash Update dialog boxes often are fake and lead to malware.  
Whenever I get one, I like to close it, open System Preferences:Flash Player, 
and update from there.

My provider says "Usually opening and closing the SIM door will fix a SIM error 
like that. 
Putting your SIM in her phone should not fry your SIM but it will switch your

you seeing bad blocks on the drive, it means the drive has already used up all 
its spare blocks and is failing.  True?

When I set up my aunt, the banker's, computer, I put the office suite, IBM 
Lotus Symphony, on it; I figured a she might feel comfortable with IBM.  But 
they have stopped supporting it.  I am pondering what to replace it with.  I 
don't mind paying, but it should be easy (and read her old documents.)

that cheap, third-party USB-C cables could damage your devices.  He sais the

The new OS X ("El Capitan") is now available for free download.  It went 
through eight betas, so hopefully it is stable.

I can't see the scroll bar in Safari.  It's there, but invisible.  How do I get 
it back?  
I've got Show scroll bars set to Always in System Preferences.
