Re: [MacGroup] phishing email from iTunes store
I just delete all this type of mail. I had one from the IRS about a refund 2 weeks ago with miss spelling and U instead of you. It was so funny. I have had every bank wanting me to enter my updated account information. Like I am stupid enough to do that. They must get some emails back to them to make it worth their time. You wish you could send an email back to the original user that would smoke their computer. Makes me long for the old days on the internet when all the idiots didn't know it even existed. Re: [MacGroup] phishing email from iTunes store
Mike , I got one of these , too, but I assume it was one sent out to all people rather than only to those whom they wanted to reach. I deleted it. I had my account since iTunes started. And i still get their email of the week and all the other announcements. Re: [MacGroup] phishing email from iTunes store
sonofknowle...@mac.com probably didn't send it - sender addresses on phishing emails are routinely spoofed. Apple probably has an ab...@apple.com box; send that email with full headers (you can access that under ViewMessageLong Headers) to them and to the admin at the website where the phish leads (you can usually get this by doing a domain whois at Network Solutions). Or you can just delete it since it's an obvious phish.
