RE: new iPad 10.2 inch

2019-10-24 Thread Simon A Fogarty
If your looking for another iPad

I’d skip the new 10.2 inch,
And go to the ipad air 10.5inch which has a better processor and a better sound
quality and only slightly higher price.

Apple make so many products using the A10 processor, the new iPad as discussed

the iPod touch which I may also get for Christmas etc.
And just one thing before I sign off from this eMail, does anyone have the
latest generation of iPad Air/
If so then can you tell me if the iPad Air has a Smart Keyboard connector.

Yeah the price is ok in the USA but here in NZ it’s not worth it.

The processor is a 3 year old product and the iPads 32GB wifi version is just
under 600 NZ dollars.

The iPad minis 64GB version is the same price give or take a few dollars.

Re: Mail has no windows

2019-10-24 Thread gerrycook
Hi all i’ve found that right option m pressed twice gets mail going or when you
have mail has no windows use command zero and that opens the message viewer
window. hope this solves a problem as a work around.

Hi Listers,

I'm just doing some in vestigation for a friend, in to iPads.

I see there is a New iPad with a 10.2inch screen size
And no it's not the iPad Air 10.5inch screen.

Has anyone heard of this having been released?

It's a bit of a kick with only an A10 fusion processor in it.

I'm asking as I'd not heard of this being released
And it's a bit of a sad device comparedto the air or the mini

Hello,
I am running the latest level of Catalina. Apple mail keeps saying Mail has no
Windows so I cannot see any inbound mail. I have tried shutting down and
restarting mail to no effect. Outbound mail still works OK. This situation
happened after I did a mail box search.
Any ideas on how to recover from this bad situation? Note that I can still
receive mail on my iPhone.
Many thanks for any tips.

VO Announcing Colors Of Elements In Safari

2019-10-24 Thread Pete De Vasto
I’m in a couple of web-based football pools, and each week need to pick the
entries of teams I think will win. Both web sites color your pick one way, and
the one you don’t want a different way. I hope this is not too dumb a question,
and I’m sure it’s possible I am missing something, but is there any way you can
query what VO is on to tell what color the element is? I can’t seem to find
this in any of the menus. Those of you who use Windows screen readers know that
it’s quite easy to read color attributes. I hope there is a way VO can do this
as well.

Thanks for any help,
Pete De Vastp

I think command+0 will fix this. I unfortunately don’t remember what the
command does, but I got stuck in the same situation yesterday, and just started
exploring the menu options and stumbled across that.

Hello,
I am running the latest level of Catalina. Apple mail keeps saying Mail has no
Windows so I cannot see any inbound mail. I have tried shutting down and
restarting mail to no effect. Outbound mail still works OK. This situation
happened after I did a mail box search.

receive mail on my iPhone.
Many thanks for any tips.

Re: Comparing numbers app on iOS and OS X

2019-10-24 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I find the Mac app much more user friendly for this sort of thing. It may be
just because I'm much more accustomed to Numbers for Mac, or maybe it's just
much easier on the Mac. I do the vast majority of my Numbers work on Mac and
just use the iPad for minor things with respect to Numbers, so I may not be the
best resource for Numbers on iPad..

Re: Insert a Video to A keynote presentation

2019-10-24 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

The easiest thing to do is to use the C"Choose" menu item under the Insert
menu. The keyboard shortcut is cmd-shift-v. Using the "Choose" menu item, you
can insert just about anything from videos, photos, graphics, audio and more.

Yes, that was my thoughts too, that iOS switched over to UEB without regard
to what I had set before.

I'll look into how to switch it back to US Braille.

Hi,

Exactly right Jason. If you make that modification in the Sound category of VO
Utility, that should do the trick.

Re: Keynote Tips and Tricks

2019-10-24 Thread Julie Rattray
Hi,

I think this is where the format section of the screen becomes important you
can add sounds pictures and media to the slides and then decide if it plays
immediately or on click the format area changes as you use different elements
of the toolbar - happy to help further if I can so just keep posting questions
- if it would help I can try to do a more detailed response to this later?
