running out of system application memory - warning

2021-08-28 Thread Patrick Ford
Hi,
When running the music app on my m1 mac book air, VO tells me that music is
busy - then the warning comes on that I am running out of system application
memory - not sure what this means - I only have zoom on my computer and the
apps that come with the mac - I have re booted but yet the problem persists.
What is this, and does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks.
Patrick

Re: Scrolling on Macbook Air 2018 - How is it done?

2021-08-28 Thread Jonathan Cohn
I believe these are scrolling, just not changing your input point or VoiceOver
Focus. So, if you do a 3 finger swipe and then use touch navigation you will
probably find you are in a new place, but if you do a three finger swipe and
then try using VoiceOver keyboard navigation VoiceOver will act as though you
did not do the swipe, and the visible text will return.
Though perhaps you are talking about in a table or other listing, you are being
a bit vague. Also, there are VO commands to move to the top/bottom of the
visible scroll area, and then if you move 1 more, the screen should scroll.

HTH!

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Re: How to turn on auto Language switching in High Sierra

2021-08-28 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Donna,
What program is your primary concern with language switching? Let me see if I
can create an example that works.
Though I would think going to practically any web site in Spain should cause
the language to switch.

Re: repeat mode in apple music

So with itoff, it should not repeat any songs, once means it should repeat
once, and the other one should work indefinitely. I have not played with that
feature much but will do so.

2021-08-28 Thread Kliph
You have a lot of great questions, and no there is no audio highjack app for
the iPad, but there are programs that will record audio. Probably not the way
you want to though. I have a audio editing group that discusses all the ways
editing audio can be done, I will put that info below. As for the MacBook Air
questions, I do a lot of free consultations and even partner with a few others
for the stuff I don’t know. So if you haven’t gotten your answer, send me an
email off list.
Are you good at editing audio or want to learn how? Want to explore all the

repeat mode in apple music

2021-08-28 Thread Patrick Ford
Hi,
How is repeat mode set for on in apple music? In the control menu there is a
repeat menu with 3 options: off, all, or 1. But it does not seem to function.
This is with a M1 mac book air.
Thanks.

Re: Two questions.

2021-08-28 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Enabling WiFi calling is not needed for the phone aspect of Apple’s continuity
feature set. WiFi Calling is actually a feature that relates to your phone
carrier. That is, when WiFi Calling is enabled, and you have a poor cell
signal, your WiFi network works, in essence, to boost the cell signal so that
you are less likely to drop calls.
