Re: new iPhone se

2022-01-25 Thread joseph hudson
Hi Lori, a hotspot, is your cell phone is acting as an Internet connection for
a secondary device to connect it. So safe for instants, you took your Mac
computer. And you connected to the net with it. Since your phone and your Mac
are linked to the same Apple ID, your computer will automatically see your
personal hotspot, and ask you if you wanna connect. You will simply tell it
yes. By doing your quick navigation keys. Then whenever you want to open up
Safari or your mail, you will be able to surf the web just like you normally
would at home except your hotspot connection from your phone is being your
data. I hope this makes sense. And probably since Illinois is not listed as
being a covert spot, you may or may not have signal.

Cellular carriers work the same way in the US as in the frozen tundra of
Canada.
A cell phone using the spectrum network should work anywhere within the 50
states.

Hi,

I’m not sure exactly how your carriers work in the States, but up here in the
frozen north, sometimes our carriers have agreements with other carriers in
order to get full coverage. The list of cities there may simply be the ones
that have cable TV, and wireless coverage is more robust. Your best bet is to
give Spectrum a quick call and let them know that you’re going to Illinois and
confirming what kind of coverage there is for you.

Regarding HotSpots. My understanding of HotSpots is not for cell phone calls,
but more for using your cellular data connection as a WiFi HotSpot so that you
can use the Internet etc. I guess that you could do that sort of thing to make
a FaceTime call as well.

PDF pen question

2022-01-25 Thread Brett Campbell
I am new to PDF pen. When I open a document, it will show there are six pages,
for example. I’m able to read the first couple of pages, then VoiceOver says
the remaining pages are blank. When I open the same document in Preview, I’m
able to read all pages. I’m hoping someone here can tell me what I’m doing
wrong.

Thank you,

Brett

ApplePay is accepted at Target.

If you are a Spectrum customer, then your phone should automatically connect to

Yes exactly Lorie. Something else I was going to point out as well, you
might benefit from the $45 a month plan, if in you experienced a lot of
power outages due to the winter storms that we are going to be having here
in Texas. But I'm hoping that we don't have that issue, this year. I saw
Encore electric out working on some of the power poles just this afternoon.

Actually you can. Tell them that you experienced an outage, and ask them for
credit back on your bill. My mom has done it all the time I haven't done it
personally. But she has.

Lori, I just wanted to let you know, I have tested the hotspot with spectrum,
and there is no issues with it lagging so you should be good winning if you go
to see your mom. I don't know where in the state she lives. But everywhere I've
been, I haven't lost any coverage. I've been up to Waco I've been over by
brenham almost out of Houston and have had great coverage that wins. So I don't
think you still have any issues.

Lori, since you're already a spectrum customer, it should be a simple as
taking your Sim card out of your old phone and putting it in your new one.
And by the way, for that person, that gave her the idea of not having to
pay for two lines. That is actually cheaper than the one line plan. As the
one line plan, is 45 bucks a month plus taxes and the please. Well you can
get two lines for 60 bucks.

Good information to have. As I haven't done this yet before. But I might the
next time that I have to try to pay for something. Does anybody know if these
work at the self checkouts? That would be awesome if it did. And I'm talking at
places such as Walmart. Or even Sam's.

Re: Apple Pay

2022-01-25 Thread Phil Halton
In order to actually find the NFC reader, are usually ask the clerk where it
is, and then I put my hand physically on the reader and bring the phone hand
over to it. Works every time if you don’t mind asking for a little help. The
steps I take are as follows
One double click the side button and look at the device for face recognition.
This brings up the Wallet app.
Two. Bring the phone close to the NFC reader as I explained above. Three. If
you’ve done it right, you’ll hear the happy ding sound. If not, try it over
again making sure that the Wallet has come up with Credit card linked to Apple
Pay as the active card. Sometimes, like at Walgreens, I’ll have a Walgreens
card that will come up and be active rather than my credit card. Then, I take
my time and don’t get flustered, I don’t care how many people are waiting in
line, and I make sure that my credit card becomes active and then I go through
the process again. Iuse Apple Pay everywhere now it’s great.

These kind of things tend to be voice specific. I use tom and it doesn't do as
described. It has its own foibles however. The speech rules
