Re: Since upgrade to Ventura, unable to read tables in Safari

2023-06-24 Thread joseph hodge
Hey Michael, the website I use typically for this too is also something for
work so sadly, I can’t share it! I’ll try to find something though and share to
the group. If nothing else what I might try is do a screen recording so those
who don’t have this issue can actually hear it because it’s rather annoying. I
also thought it might be a setting because my desktop doesn’t seem to do it as
much as my laptop does, which is strange. I even updated to the newest beta to
see if it was still show the problem and of course it does! Using the iPad and
doing the same table navigation on the website though works so it’s definitely
some thing on the max end which is weird because I thought they would be
similar.

Re: Since upgrade to Ventura, unable to read tables in Safari

2023-06-24 Thread Michael Babcock
Hi Donna,

I'll second that I have issues with tables in some instances in Safari.

It would be interesting if anyone can share some site that they experience
issues with to see if other people are, as maybe it's a configuration issue
that some of us have not made an order to navigate tables. All of the tables I
have problems with our internal tools that I cannot share access to, however,
it does pop up occasionally, and this is what pushed me to actually purchase
parallels. I wanted to actually work, and could not do that in Safari, or edge
with VoiceOver on the Mac, as the table would not allow you to use your
VoiceOver plus up and down, left and right keys in order to navigate it at all.
And, disabling the ability to group tables had no impact.

2023-06-24 Thread 'Mary Ward' via MacVisionaries
Hello. I had a drive or two that I thought were causing problems in the Finder

right. I got rid of the hub. Unfortunately, though, I am now having problems
with drives no matter how they are connected. Is the Finder just not stable on
these Macs? I even plugged a little thumb drive into the USB port on my Apple
keyboard. I tried several times to copy some files and the drive disappears.

Is this a known problem? Do I need to take this Mac to the Apple Store?
Thanks for any insights into this growing problem.

Well, I’m glad I’m not the only one, I guess. For me it’s a little different.
I interact with the table, but can’t read any of the columns.

I agree with you about the Safari busy thing. That's sooo
annoying!!! For a while now, I’ve kept a Mac and a Pc. I was really hoping the
day was coming when I could ditch the PC, but it doesn’t sound like that’s
going to happen any time soon. It seems to me that Apple’s putting all of its

I’m actually having problems too. Usually what tends to happen is I can read it
sometimes but then if I go right then move left on a particular row, it will
completely mess up! From what I can see it tends to be a Safari thing I’ve used
edge and it seems to be a bit better there although sometimes it still happens!
It’s really annoying and actually has me Considering selling my Mac. The Safari
busy and now this really has me contemplating whether or not this machine is
worth the money. The only thing kind of keeping me from doing this is I just
don’t like how Windows works either. That being said, at least I can read

Re: Since upgrade to Ventura, unable to read tables in Safari

2023-06-24 Thread Brad Snyder
I've been using Ventura on two different machines since October, and have not
noticed any issue with tables in safari webpages. The behavior seems
consistent with previous versions of safari and the macOS.

Since upgrade to Ventura, unable to read tables in Safari

2023-06-24 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi all,

Subject says it all. Since upgrading to Ventura, I find that very often I am
unable to read the content of tables in Safari. Is there some trick to this
that I don’t know about? If not, that is a huge miss by Apple. There are lots
of websites that use tables. If there is, I’d appreciate any help.
TIA,
Donna
