Re: More Gmail questions

2023-10-06 Thread Brad Snyder
Try the following and see if it helps:

1. Open the Mail app on your Mac.
2. go to Mail Preferences/Settings (CMD + Comma).
3. From the Tool Bar, select Accounts.
4. Select your Gmail account from the Internet Accounts table.
5. Select the Mailbox Behaviors tab.
6. Navigate to Gmail/Trash, and set the destination to Trash. (You may find
this is set to Archive).
7. Close Mail Preferences/Settings by pressing CMD + W.

HTH.

One more IOS 17 Questions

2023-10-06 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi again, all,

OK, hopefully my last question.

It used to be the case that when dictating a message, if I said the words
“smiling face emoji” I would get just that, an emoji of a smiling face. Now, I
actually get the words smiling face emoji. Definitely not a dictation
improvement, IMHO. So, what does one actually have to say to produce an actual
emoji?
TIA,
Donna
