Re: Accessible Audio Player for Mac other than Cog?

2015-05-18 Thread AZ

Hi.
If you are talking about DSD images or tracks you can try Audiorvana.
Vlc is not a bad idea for playing stereo, but is really a painful thing
to play multi-channel audiotracks in videos on Mac.
iTunes is good enough, but you are not able to switch your audio devices
on the fly. Also you can use Decibel, I personally prefer Audiorvana.

Seriously though, try VLC from Videoland. I know you're wanting audio, not
video, but trust me, it does both. It's open source, so is totally free, and
yes, there are plugins you can get, to the best of my knowledge, and yes, there
are global hotkeys, at least the last I checked.

As subject states. Looking for a better player than Cog. I'm looking for
something which has more options such as rewind/forward system wide hotkeys,
plugin support etc. Suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

Hi.

You are right, the combinations work because of the global language of

That's very strange, because here, when we switch to the Russian keyboard, the
VO commands work as though it were an English keyboard.

Thinking about it, I wonder if it works for us because the OS was installed in
English.

You can, however, set a shortcut to switch rapidly between the two layouts. In
that way, you could enter the VO command using the English layout, then switch
immediately to Russian to enter the search term.

Cheers,

Anne
