I'm using the mobile site on the mac, but there are still some things that
don't work with it.

So, that is the reason due to which you're getting that message.
I don't know whether the mobile site works in any other accessible browsers
 on the Mac or not.

If anyone is using the mobile site on the Mac, please do let me know.

You would find the checkbox for it under security and privacy.

annoying when it locks while doing a say all on a page with an article, for
 example. Thanks,

Re: OT: Any Web Designers Out Here?

2012-04-25 Thread Clinton Waterbury
That depends on who you go through for your web design.
Their web designer and/or web design company could be quite expensive.
In that case though, I would switch companies/designers, but I guess that's
just another blind guy talking.

Hi there, everyone. I'm hoping someone can assist with something. In a
nutshell, there is a site, http://www.yourmorals.org which enables you to
take surveys on fascinating and intriguing aspects of morality. After you
take the surveys, there are often color-coded and otherwise graphical
representations of your scores as compared to others who took the surveys.
 Most results are therefore inaccessible.
I wrote to the webmaster and received no reply, and I wrote to the man many
of whose studies are discussed at this site, Professor John Haidt. He did
respond, stating that it had never occurred to him that people with limited
sight would be able to take their surveys, that it is an interesting
consideration, but that he does not think anything can be changed until they
get more money for updated web design. Is this the sort of thing which is
really that expensive and time-consuming? I don't know enough about it, so
would appreciate off-list feedback -- I can send anyone who wants more
information the correspondence in question. It's one of those things that
really could be, and should be, open to us, with the technology which is at
 our disposal.

Gmail account creation page.

2012-04-23 Thread Clinton Waterbury
Hey all.
I was just wondering if anyone had figured out how to create a new gmail
account using voiceover and safari.
I just tried to create an account for a friend, and gmail didn't play nice with
safari in any way, shape, or form.
The bad part is… They used to be really good with just about anything a couple
years ago.

Re: i o s 4.1 3g

2010-09-09 Thread Clinton Waterbury
Just... Remeber one thing.
If you have a windows virtual machine running when you connect your iPhone,
prepare for a really hard time fixing the iPhone, as it breaks the entire os if
it's installing and the virtual machine connects it.
If you have to use the virtual machine when updating your iPhone, go into the
machine's settings, go to USB devices, and turn off the automatic connections
of USB devices.
The virtual machine also has to be shut down for you to go and modify the
settings for it.

Re: iphone, shutdown skype

2010-09-06 Thread Clinton Waterbury
If you are running ios4, you should be able to press the home button twice
quickly and get into the app switcher.
From there, all you have to do is flick to skype or any other app you want to
shut down and double-tap and hole untill voiceover announces that it's editing
apps.
From there, you should be able to double-tap like you're going to open it but
it will shut it down.

a way of only shutting down skype itself, in order to go offline on skype,
rather than restarting the entire o s to make skype stop running?
