another numbers question
Good day. Ok, I think I figured out how to get a spreadsheet going using the baby record layout with numbers with the daily log option. My question is, there is an activities header and in the popup box there's diapers, food and sleep. Is there a way that I can add more option in this popup box? The only problem with Weather Radio is it only shows alerts for cities in the US. And it's only available for the iPhone. I haven't found an app that will do the same thing for both US and Canada for both the Mac and iPhone. Re: playroom
I haven't tried the speech function. I just use regular voiceover and how my settings are works fine. So just try with your regular settings? And to the person that gave the suggestion to use the speech function of the web client, I actually used it for the first time and I found a problem. The speech is too fast for my liking and I found no way to adjust this. When I look in system preferences, the rate of speech is set to what I want it to be so I know it has nothing to do with that. So my question is, is there a way to set speech rate in Safari or will I have to live with the too fast speech rate? If you’ve never used that before, when you log in and access the web client, you should get a welcome message and you should be placed in a menu of a few buttons that you can navigate with the up and down arrow keys. The first option here should be “create a new table”, while join will be the next in case you want to play on someone else table. One more thing that could be worth looking at is the options menu, where you can enable “browser speech”. This makes most messages, except the interface, to be spoken using the web speech api instead of an aria live region. This seems to work better than just using VoiceOver’s live region support as it doesn’t interrupt itself. Good luck BTW: in the set up for portable preferences it will be helpful if you have a thumb drive installed on your Mac either a USB stick or an ST card and then you will be able to select that as the volume to put the preferences on. You will then take that thumb drive over to your other computer and low those preferences in from that volume. questions
Good day all. First a question for a friend of mine. I asked this a few days ago and was suggested to check ICloud to see if that would help fix the problem my friend is having. Sorry, it was no luck. The problem is whenever he goes to the mac apt store to update instead of staying logged in with his apple ID it keeps going back to the original person that had the mac. Is there a way to fix this or do they need to complete clear the mac and start over with just their apple ID? They've tried logging out and back in, checked ICloud, logged out of ITunes and back in and nothing seems to be working. Now the second question is for myself. Is there a certain plug in or program I need on my mac to play videos that appear on sites such as blogs? I thought flash player was what I needed, but Safari still won't show me that videos are there and I know they are. Any help there would be appreciated as well, thanks. 50 days May and Leader Dog . . . www.canadianlynx.ca m...@canadianlynx.ca -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. user accounts with mac apt store
Hi everyone. A friend of mine is trying to update their mac that they just got from a friend and they want to do all the updates under their apple ID. For whatever reason the apt store keeps logging in the original person. Is there a way to get it to stay logged in with the apple ID of the new user? They tried logging out of the apt store and then back in, but the moment they go to updates it shows the wrong apple ID. Is there another place that needs to be changed first? For a quick example we’ll get rid of Samantha – sorry Samantha, you sound lovely but you take up too much space – so we will be deleting Samantha.SpeechVoice. Select that folder and either drag it to the Trash or hit Command+Delete to place it there automatically. Because the voice files are contained in /System/ you will need to authenticate with the administrator password in order to delete the file, so type that in, then you can empty the Trash. Re: audible files
Thanks, I'll check that out. Definitely could come in handy. On 2012-03-30, at 9:28 AM, Scott Bresnahan wrote: Hi, No. Audible uses digital rights management (DRM). However, I have a great program called Audio Book Converter, that converts Audible books to MP3 for just this purpose. The first thing I do when I download a new audible book, is to convert it so I can use it where ever and whenever I want without worrying about DRM. The company that makes it is called Macsome, and the URL is: http://www.macsome.com/ The program is not free. It costs $34.95. I think any serious audible user who wants control of their playback of books, would find this a valuable tool. --Scott At 9:10 AM -0400 3/30/12, May McDonald wrote: I'm having a serious brain freeze this morning. I said nothing about changing the file, just the file type. Not everyone has a way to play audible files. And please lets not play the not legally card, lol. If your toolbar is hidden, then even though VoiceOver says Show Downloads when you use this shortcut, nothing is displayed. So you might press Command-Shift-Backslash to toggle your Safari toolbar to be shown before trying that shortcut. Also, you can navigate to a Show Downloads button in the toolbar and press it with VO-Space to show your downloads window. I have the vague impression that when I first upgraded to Lion, I may have had to press that button once, to later get my downloads window to show. Again, this only works if your toolbar is not hidden. You can press Command-Option-F to navigate to the Google Search field, then VO-Right arrow to the Show Downloads button, and press it with VO-Space. HTH. Can someone please tell me how I go about getting the download window to pop up like it us to with SL in Lion? Doing command l then going to the download button is not doing it which is what silly Apple told me to do. Hey there. Are there shortcuts for Skype? I looked around and couldn't find out about them or where to set them up.
