Perhaps the Netherlands. The service is not u. s. only.

Yes, I understand this. However if the source document does not provide
its own page numbers, then it is unlikely anyone will match that
correctly.
For example if your source is an electronic copy of a published work
that normally has other identifiers, chapter, paragraph etc., you may get
something that works. Still, because pdf files appear differently the
page numbers are not likely to be consistent even without converting the
file in my experience.

robobraille converts the contents of a pdf file into another format, say rtf
or text or html.
If your source document has no provided page numbers, then why does the exact
page number matter out of curiosity?
After all, pdf files appear differently in different readers meaning the page
numbers might vary from program to program.

Re: COpying from PDf book

2019-02-07 Thread Karen Lewellen
granted I did not see an example of your goal documents. still as you
spoke of research, my thought was that you were using existing
documents from which you were taking published information.
robobraille converts the contents of a pdf file into another format, say
rtf or text or html.
If your source document has no provided page numbers, then why does the
exact page number matter out of curiosity?
After all, pdf files appear differently in different readers meaning the
page numbers might vary from program to program.

Hi,

I think with Prismo it keeps original pagination but of course you would need
to double check this - I am also a researcher so I appreciate the issue for you
here and I am sure I resolved a similar issue like this in the past using
Prismo but I could be wrong.

I think unless you have a PDF editor there won’t be a perfect solution - others
on this list may know of a good PDF editor which works with VO that would let
you do this - and I would be interested in the possibilities
Best wishes
