The workaround for this is to try using VueScan which can interface between your scanner and Abbey Finereader. Unfortunately even this solution did not work for me as my scanner was not even supported on VueScan. However look at http://www.hamrick.com/ There is a trial version I think which would definitely tell you whether VueScan will be able to see your scanner on the Mac. Ciao Gena and thanks for your answer. Yes, officially they don't list Mac OS among the supported O.S. It's the first time I face such problem and onestly I don't know how to solve it. Should I search for drivers by using my scanner's name and MAC OSX? How do you fix this issue or, what do you suggest me to try? Many many thanks. Hello Gabriel, Most scanners are made to work from a twain driver so check out the twain sane interface. It’s not as nice as the GUI tools but a little of reading might just keep familiar hardware going. From memory it involved installing about 5 little programs within the terminal.
