ML mail signatures

2012-09-17 Thread Richard Ring
Hello:
I am trying to create some signatures for my messages. I guess I simply don't
understand what the Mail software wants me to do.
If someone would go over the process for creating signatures, I'd be extremely
grateful.

Re: ML mail signatures

2012-09-17 Thread Alex Hall
Once in preferences signatures, select the all signatures tab (putting
signatures in accounts does not work for some reason). Use the add button, type
your signature, and there you go. You can choose how to use them, which is
default, and so forth here as well. If you need more details, let me know, but
the key is to not use accounts when adding signatures.

Re: ML mail signatures

2012-09-17 Thread John Panarese
Hi Rich,
Try the following.

1. Open Mail Preferences.
2. Make sure you select, signatures, from the buttons.
3. From the signatures list, choose the account to which you want the
signature.
4. Navigate passed the names table and edit area to the Add New, button going
right. Vo space on it.
5. You will be on an edit field to name the signature. By default, it might
say, Signature #1. Just type the name of the signature you want for it.
6. Stop interacting and navigate right to the edit field. There will be
default text that will have your name and email address, but you can place
whatever you want there.

If you ahve more than one signature for an account, you can choose a
default signature from a popup button all the way to the right.

Is it associated with an account already? You need to have it listed with
the specific account. It will be available in a popup button when you compose
a new message or reply to pick it if it is not the default signature for the

Re: ML mail signatures

2012-09-17 Thread John Panarese
In the signature pane, first copy the text of the signature to the
clipboard by selectinginteracting and all with command-a and then command-c to
copy it. Then, navigate to your gmail account and then to the, add new,
button. Create a new signature and then just paste the text you copied into
the edit field. This is how I created my business signature for my multiple
