If i  had a Studio it would dpend on what i was doing.
I have bought the Logic Pro which is quite pricy so that would work if i have 
ahobby studio.
But beeing profesional i guess one has to have protools.

Hi lenron,
When you factor several "Pro tools HDX" cards and a video card you'll start to 
see that the Mac Pro is a natural fit.
I already have that mac mini which requires you to buy a external "thunderbolt" 
card cage to house all the Avid Cards & is a bit slower!
Besides with the way the USA economy is doing it will pay for its self down 
stream! :)
Also since the  Mac pro is made in the US it will just ad fuel to the Jobs 
market!

For music recording no way this thing is needed, yes yes I know some can

Couldn’t you do the same thing with a Mac Mini setup as a server and then an 
iMac pro to work on your recordings from

Even if you’ve been saving for a while you could get more from multiple devices 
surely?

I just had a quick look at the  XDR screen pricing,

Standard glass is $9,600
Nano texture glass, $10,800

The pro stand: $1,900
VISA Mount: $380

I guess that at a stretch I might be able to purchase a set of wheels and a 
VISA mount,

Hi Petrus,
Heres my "rationalization" for including the Mac Pro in to my recording studio.
You can install the Avid Pro Tools "HDX" cards directly inside the mac pro.
The economy is booming here in the USA!
Unemployment is at its lowest in 50 years!
More People have bred in there pocket to use my services!
It will pay for its self!
consumer confidence is at a 20 year high!
The stock market is off the chart!
And the number 1 reason for me is that the new Mac  Pro is proudly "made in the 
USA"!
