Re: New epub Reader
I hadn't either until I read the original message mentioning it as an EPUB reader for the mac. Earlier today I got a message saying it was accessible so one can use it to read EPUB books on the mac like you would do with ibooks on the iPhone. That's all I know about it so far. Re: New epub Reader
The Bookle app only reads unprotected books in the epub format. If those books are unprotected (non-DRM) epub formatted books then I guess it should. Sorry for digging up such an old message but I never saw any replies. Has anyone tried this bookel app for the mac? I hesitate to spend ten bucks to gamble on accessibility. Hi All, I am replying to my own message. The Bookle app seems perfectly accessible with VoiceOver. It now gives us a way to read unprotected epub content on the Mac. Re: New epub Reader
Hi Robert, Bookle works OK for straight reading. There's no ability to set bookmarks, but last location will be remembered. Zack commented in the Bookle support forums that there were still some issues with VoiceOver cursor focus. I haven't tried testing this in detail for character by character reading such as you might want to do if you are reading about computer command line instructions. HTH.
