Re: new iPhone se

2022-01-25 Thread joseph hudson
Hi Lori, a hotspot, is your cell phone is acting as an Internet connection for
a secondary device to connect it. So safe for instants, you took your Mac
computer. And you connected to the net with it. Since your phone and your Mac
are linked to the same Apple ID, your computer will automatically see your
personal hotspot, and ask you if you wanna connect. You will simply tell it
yes. By doing your quick navigation keys. Then whenever you want to open up
Safari or your mail, you will be able to surf the web just like you normally
would at home except your hotspot connection from your phone is being your
data. I hope this makes sense. And probably since Illinois is not listed as
being a covert spot, you may or may not have signal.

Cellular carriers work the same way in the US as in the frozen tundra of
Canada.
A cell phone using the spectrum network should work anywhere within the 50
states.

give Spectrum a quick call and let them know that you’re going to Illinois and
confirming what kind of coverage there is for you.

Regarding HotSpots. My understanding of HotSpots is not for cell phone calls,
but more for using your cellular data connection as a WiFi HotSpot so that you
can use the Internet etc. I guess that you could do that sort of thing to make
a FaceTime call as well.

2022-01-25 Thread joseph hudson
Lori, I just wanted to let you know, I have tested the hotspot with spectrum,
and there is no issues with it lagging so you should be good winning if you go
to see your mom. I don't know where in the state she lives. But everywhere I've
been, I haven't lost any coverage. I've been up to Waco I've been over by
brenham almost out of Houston and have had great coverage that wins. So I don't
think you still have any issues.

2022-01-20 Thread Rebecca Skipper
It depends on where you are in Florida and who your carrier is.
However, it could be hit or miss, and I was more worried about conserving
battery.
The only time I have switched to the more expensive plan was when my Internet
went down, and I needed enough data to use my phone as a hotspot.

I've never lived through a major snow storm, but I assume that it is like
hurricanes in that once the power goes out cellular coverage is spotty at best
and land lines are actually better after a power outage.

Yes exactly Lorie. Something else I was going to point out as well, you might
benefit from the $45 a month plan, if in you experienced a lot of power outages
due to the winter storms that we are going to be having here in Texas. But I'm
hoping that we don't have that issue, this year. I saw Encore electric out
working on some of the power poles just this afternoon.

Hi,

Pretty well everything from settings is transferred over. Even some of your
various sign-ins should transfer.

how much of the stuff from settings gets installed when I backup from iCloud? I

RE: new iPhone se

2022-01-20 Thread Rebecca Skipper
Thanks.
I don't know four people right now who could benefit, but I think adding a
second line wouldn't be so bad. If needed in the future.

Rebecca, no problem. Something else I forgot to point out, let's just say you
had a total of four of you, it would only be 29.99 to add each additional line.

Lori, since you're already a spectrum customer, it should be a simple as taking
your Sim card out of your old phone and putting it in your new one. And by the
way, for that person, that gave her the idea of not having to pay for two
lines. That is actually cheaper than the one line plan. As the one line plan,
is 45 bucks a month plus taxes and the please. Well you can get two lines for

Re: new iPhone se

2022-01-20 Thread joseph hudson
Lori, since you're already a spectrum customer, it should be a simple as taking
your Sim card out of your old phone and putting it in your new one. And by the
way, for that person, that gave her the idea of not having to pay for two
lines. That is actually cheaper than the one line plan. As the one line plan,
is 45 bucks a month plus taxes and the please. Well you can get two lines for
60 bucks.
