Re: [Bulk] Re: Will It Be Easy To Install Lion?
I've also discovered that my 2010 Mac Mini, which I bought to learn VO last December, only has 2GB of RAM. Do I have to upgrade to 4GB of RAM to run Lion? And, do I have to find my iWork disc to reinstall after Lion? What about migrating mail, docs, etc? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. I do have a few questions: 1. I've lost my Snowleopard disks. Is that a problem regarding Lion? 2. Where do I get Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloaner? 3. I also can't find my iWork discs. Re: [Bulk] Re: Will It Be Easy To Install Lion?
Not trying to screw round with anyones hopes here, but I heighly doubt it will be out today. I'm thinking next Thursday (14th July) I could be wrong though, at which point you can all point, laugh and all that. If you have one on hand, I would personally burn it to a blank external HD, and do it that way. Reading and writing marginally faster. However, you could also burn it to a DVD in case you should lose your HD or otherwise. Voiceover should function as previously in earlier installs, I see no current reason why it shouldn't. Make sure that you have your favourite beverage on hand, and go! :) On 7/8/11, Dan key...@comcast.net wrote: Hello, You can get CCC from http://www.bombich.com/ Super Duper at http://www.shirt-pocket.com/ HTH! It doesn't actually need Snow Leopard to run the installer and you can apparently boot it from either a DVD or a USB drive. I've tried to find official confirmation of this though and haven't been able to. Still, I guess we'll know soon when some people get it from the App Store and tell us what it says.
