I've used almost everything at this point (though some of them only a little):
OS X, Microsoft Windows (only version 7 so far), Linux, Chrome OS, iOS and
Android.

They all have bugs and limitations. In what ways you're affected by those
issues depends on what your needs are and which applications you use.

The more intensively you use a system, the more problems you're likely to
notice - at least in my experience.

I did .look at Preferences. Does not seem to be completely

Re: mac and firefox?

2016-01-13 Thread Michael Marshall
hey,
i spoke to the blind developer that works for firefox and he told me around a
year ago that firefox were not as interested in mac accessibility because there
Focus is predominately windows and smart phones.
I need hardly ad that i think this is a load of rubbish.

Re: mac and firefox?

2016-01-13 Thread E.T.
Mozilla is the developer of Firefox and Thunderbird, two of their
projects. A shame if they do not think Apple is a major player worth
developing for.

Yes, you can use Webvisum still, but with the added security risks
associated with enabling unsigned addons all across the board. Why
Firefox, of all companies, are taking this Apple-like lockdown is
beyond me, but ah well.

I think they did that at the beginning of this month. Don't even
get me started on that rant!

2. It never worked on the IPhone as far as I know.

3. Apparently Singing Sparrow clames to have gotten Firefox to work
successfully on the mac with Yosemite, but when asked for an audio
demo, as no one else at all is having that luck, he's not responded.

So, I'm still not sure.

Chris.

Subject: mac and firefox?

HI. Just downloaded the latest version of firefox. Anyone have any
accessibility tips? or is it still not that accessible? Is anyone
able to use web Visum successfully? If so can someone explain how to
install it? I can get to the install page but when I click install
nothing happens.
ps:
does web Visum work on the iPhone?
thanks
Maria
