Re: on screen keyboard

2023-11-24 Thread Thuy Mallalieu
Hi Gabe. I'm having the same problems as you. The only way to make the onscreen keyboard visible is to use either external keyboard or Braille Display and the space with dots 1 4 6 a couple of times to toggle to onscreen keyboard visible. I was looking in the voiceover commands list to see if I could assign a gesture to make keyboard visible but the only way I could see was through the Braille commands. It was here that I found some strange anomalies. Listed in my Braille devices was my Sony WH1000 headphones. Sure enough the show/hide onscreen keyboard command was there in the list of available commands but nothing assigned to it. I'm wondering whether you may have paired something like those headphones which could be sending some kind of command to voiceover to hide the keyboard? I just removed it from my bluetooth devices and will see if that sorts out the problem. Very annoying as I quite like the sound of those headphones. Quite why they should show up as a Braille device is a bit of a mystery to me though? Let's hope that resolves things.CheersThuyOn 24 Nov 2023, at 04:50, Gabe Griffith wrote:Hi, Sorry if I was confusing. Try turning off bluetooth on the iPhone.
This should help determine if the issue has to do with a bluetooth device.
