When a download is in progress, you either find the downloads button in

your downloads that are in progress. What were you downloading and which Mac

These methods use to work as I've said, just not sure when it changed. I
usually check things after I've done an upgrade and I forgot to after, so not
sure if it died on me after the last safari or last OS update.

I was downloading a combination of things to test it, books, things for school,
music, so on. Last OS software and latest safari.

Re: showing downloads

2014-03-02 Thread James Yam
Hi May, I played around here and discovered that I could show or hide the tool
bar in safari.
View menu / hide toolbar or view menu / show toolbar.

With the toolbar hidden I could not get the download button using the item
chooser and command option L did not work.

With the toolbar shown I could use command option L whether I was downloading
or not and I could find the download button with the item chooser.

Could you check your view menu for us and let us know if your tool bar is
hidden? If hidden, the menu option will read, show toolbar. Please press
enter on it in that case and report if that solves your problem.

Thanks,

James Yam

Just checked since I'm downloading things and I can see it on the doc.

Wow, thanks everyone. Still puzzling the other way on how it disappeared, but
this way works too.
