Coding apps for accessibility

2022-09-06 Thread Phil Halton
My bank has been hassling me to help them to make their app accessible for the
blind. Where can I direct them in the Apple website for their coding department
to find all they need about how to code an app for Accessibility. I know Apple
has information on the developers website for coding for the blind. Any help as
to where I can send them. I told them if they wanted to pay me the IT man’s
salary then I’d be glad to help otherwise they can surely do it for themselves
sport is not rocket science and they don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

I've been in that situation before. You can use "force quit" to close Safari.
I think it's command-option escape.

Steve, you said you used VO plus down arrow. The key combo to interact is VO
shift down arrow.

Just checking to make sure you are actually interacting. :)

Hope this helps.

Re: Twitter Spaces Request to speak crashed VoiceOver - ideas?

2022-09-06 Thread Doug Lee
Belated conclusion for this thread: I finally did host a space last night, and
with no problems. I have also
by now been a speaker in a space or two with no problems. I therefore suspect
that the lockup I experienced,
that made me start this thread, was caused either by a fluke or by an
accidental dismissal of me from a space
after I requested to speak. I have not tested being removed from a space yet to
distinguish between the two.

Help! I just did something weird in Safari

2022-09-06 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi all,

So I have absolutely no idea what I did, or how I did it. Somehow, I opened a
webpage that I have bookmarked, such that it is stuck open. There is literally
no way to close it. Cmd-W doesn’t work. CMD-Q won’t even close Safari.
Clicking the close button doesn’t work. What on earth is goin on, and how do I
close this stupid webpage?
Thanks,
Donna

Re: Help! I just did something weird in Safari

2022-09-06 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Very weird.
I would try the following.
1. Disconnect from the . This way if there is a JS that is constantly opening
new windows with content it should get disabled.
2. Try the menu based close/quit commands, it is possible for a web site to
block the command-Q / command-W commands.
3. Use the force quit applications function

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn
