Re: [MlMt] search for different Flags

2016-07-10 Thread Gary Hull
To change the flag colors you have to use the fussy Shift-F, release,
press number process. Is there any way to change them so that a quicker
and easier keyboard shortcut could be used, such as a function key, or
at least a non-shifted lowercase f?

It's cool, that you can easily switch on a flag by hitting `Shift-F`

Flags are implemented using IMAP keyword “bits”. A clever solution
by Apple, but MailMate currently doesn't have an easy way to do
colored flag searches. You can only do it by searching for the
corresponding set of bits. Here are the F keybindings:

"F" = {
"0" = ( "removeTag:", "\\Flagged", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0", "removeTag:", "$MailFlagBit1", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"1" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0", "removeTag:", "$MailFlagBit1", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"2" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged","setTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0", "removeTag:", "$MailFlagBit1", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"3" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0","setTag:", "$MailFlagBit1", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"4" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged","setTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0","setTag:", "$MailFlagBit1", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"5" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0", "removeTag:", "$MailFlagBit1","setTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"6" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged","setTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0", "removeTag:", "$MailFlagBit1","setTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );
"7" = ("setTag:", "\\Flagged", "removeTag:",
"$MailFlagBit0","setTag:", "$MailFlagBit1","setTag:",
"$MailFlagBit2" );

};

Implicitly, they also tell you what to search for, e.g., F2, means
that `$MailFlagBit0` is enabled and `$MailFlagBit1`/`$MailFlagBit2`
are disabled.

I hope that helps.

Re: [MlMt] addresses

Thanks. It’s high on my list of minor concerns….
The other thing for me is learning how to take advantage of all the
drop-downs/smart folders Thanks.

Sadly, no. This is a function that Benny seems quite fond of,
although I have never known anyone else whose use of email signatures
actually fits the way it works. By default, you get the signature you
last used on email to the person that you are mailing.

For what it's worth I do have some signature options high on my list,
including disabling the current system.

2. Placement. I want my address to appear after my message and
before the quoted message that’s below. Is there a way to set it
up this way.

I believe that is what the "Top" option in the Signatures pane of
MailMate's Preferences does.

And in that case also click on “Reset Usage History” to make sure
that MailMate does not remember something else for individual
recipients.

[MlMt] Default settings for encryption/signing on per accout?

2016-07-10 Thread y...@gmx.de

Hi there,

I have two IMAP accounts where the business account should use
encryption by default
and a second private account which should not encryption. My settings
are as in the

attached screenshot.

By default (opening a new composer window) encryption is enabled and my
private email
from my business account is selected. For sending a private email I have
to my private
identity and the encryption option remains on...so I always have to
uncheck the encryption
option which is kind of annoying...is there any reasonable way for
having the encryption/signing
options per account and not based on some vague "history" magic? It's
just not working as expected.
