Re: [MlMt] Multile message deleting, how to do this with justte keyboad?
I do the same thing as I have my RSS feed sent to my email. (I prefer MailMate to RSS clients.) Only issue when I select emails with the shift key is that, when the mailboxes refresh/sync, MailMate forgets it’s selection location. I.e., starts de-selecting items from the beginning of the selection vs. continuing to select items from the top of the list when I arrow up. With `export` (and `import`) Bill means arguments to the `defaults` command. Curiously, these are not documented in the man page of `defaults`, but they are listed if you, e.g., run the `defaults` command without any arguments: defaults To be more specific, something like this should work: defaults export com.freron.MailMate ~/Desktop/MyMailMatePrefs.plist And then on the new machine: defaults import com.freron.MailMate ~/Desktop/MyMailMatePrefs.plist (I haven't actually tried the above.) As noted before, I think simply copying the file should work if you haven't yet launched MailMate on the new machine. @Benny so when I am installing MM on the new computer - do I create a Mailmate folder in application support and put the `plist` files in that folder? Yes. Before installing MM? or is there a window between install and launch? Do it before launching MailMate. If you fail to do that then you can just delete the contents of the folder first. -- Benny https://freron.com/become_a_mailmate_patron/ ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

That can be done by copying the following file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.freron.MailMate.plist But I believe this has to be done before launching MailMate for the first time (because the system caches it in memory). An alternative approach is to use the 'export' and 'import' subcommands to 'defaults' command, which assures that you get precisely what the system believes to be the current defaults. -- Bill Cole ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

(Spam showing nagging stuff, even when it's marked as spam.) No, there's no way to prevent embedded images from being shown (since they are already fetched). I guess it could be a general option to display images at all, but then you would probably also want a feature to disable it (like the answer to question 1)... 3. Maybe an option for "Don't load attachments" for specific folders would be interesting? :-) Ah, then I think I understand question 2 since this would implicitly allow you to do that. This feature is on my todo, but don't expect it soon. It would probably not be so hard to not fetch (or at least not store) large attachments, but it's tricky to make this work well when using features which expects the entire message to exist, for example, if using drag'n'drop to move a message between accounts or to the desktop. (I haven't really looked into it.) I'll note the request for such a feature to also work at the mailbox level. -- Benny https://freron.com/become_a_mailmate_patron/ ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
