Re: [MlMt] MailMate needs to be updated warning
Oh, this is most excellent! Thank you, everyone! I have no idea what Juice is, or Premailer (tho I can guess they’re probably Markdown → HTML conversion libraries), or why either one would have been selected instead of the other — but I can confirm that with Juice selected *finally* I can again use Markdown with MailMate! (See that nice bit of italics? ) I’ll confess that for the last two or three months I’ve been using FastMail’s web interface just so I could do the small bit of email formatting that I need to do. I’ve been missing MailMate! It’s good to be back. Benny, I should have done it long ago, but am now an official Patron. Thank you so much for the care and dedication you’ve poured into this indispensable app. — Erik -- 2022-04-06 15:06 · [Benny Kjær Nielsen](mailto:mailingl...@freron.com): On 6 Apr 2022, at 19:52, Sebastian Hagedorn wrote: Yes, I’m using Juice. [MlMt] Customizing replied and forwarded string format?
Is there a way to customize the format of the reply and forward content? E.g., I would like to use this: ``` - Forwarded message from em...@example.com, 06 Apr 2022 - Stet clita kasd gubergren, no sea takimata sanctus est Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. Re: [MlMt] MailMate needs to be updated warning
And this, finally, seems to be the answer to the error that I get whenever I attempt to send a Markdown-formatted email in MailMate. Thanks to Benny’s recently improved error reporting, I see the following whenever I attempt to send such a message: ``` Bundle command failed (Inline CSS/9846E526-1B45-42E8-8E75-F2B47AB5FF76) /Users/xyzzy/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Managed/Bundles/Premailer (Python).mmbundle/Support/bin/premailer: /Users/xyzzy/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Managed/Bundles/Premailer (Python).mmbundle/Support/premailerize: /usr/bin/python2.7: bad interpreter: No such file or directory /Users/xyzzy/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Managed/Bundles/Premailer (Python).mmbundle/Support/bin/premailer: /Users/xyzzy/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Managed/Bundles/Premailer (Python).mmbundle/Support/premailerize: /usr/bin/python2.7: bad interpreter: No such file or directory ``` (I’ve just formatted that with a code fence, but I’ll bet you all will see the raw Markdown rather than the lightly formatted HTML that I want to send.) Is my only recourse to figure out how to download Python 2.7 and install it properly in `/usr/bin/`? Robert, For what it’s worth, on r5875 pressing the option key _after_ I’ve pulled down the MailMate menu changes the text of the “Check for Update” item to “Check for Test Build”. Re: [MlMt] Crashing on printing with r5876 and r5881
Thank you, Harry. I was confused because I thought you meant hold down the option key when choosing from the menu, rather than when activating the menu. Yes, that works fine. The Option click on the "Check Now" button on that pane works to get me 5882, but the button text does *not* update when I hold the option down: it still shows "Check Now." Robert, For Test Builds hold down OPT Keyboard button when selecting the menu item, MailMate. R5882 is the latest Test Build I show. What version are you on?
