Indeed windows server with iis.
I will try but in the task manager it is the mapguide service who reached
the 100%, not the w3wp.

I try your config and I keep you informed.

Has anyone already encountered the issue ?

Re: [mapguide-users] Migration Autodesk to Esri

2018-04-09 Thread Jérôme DUCKERS
Thanks Gordon,

We are aware that migration will take months !

Unfortunately with the previous points, we're somewhat forced to migrate.

Our action plan is the following :

1. Keep our aims web viewer (our licenses are permanent) and provide
some improvements.

 2. Provide some Map/Feature services based on our oracle database
(sdo_geometry) to SAP.

3. Slowly reinvent our web viewer, to have something younger, the
current viewer has almost 10 years.

Data is very important for us. Therefore we take the choice to continue
with Oracle Database and sdo_geometry.

To provide data via mapservices, it’s very easy ! Unfortunately, you’ve
right, for crud, it’s more complicated.

We have enable sde on the database and created some working tables (with
st_geometry), when data is created/updated/deleted, triggers are processing
data and put it into our sdo schema.

Layers are the biggest problem for us.

Mapguide manages layer as an object, with a lot of properties, the power of
this object is the collection of scale range.

In Arcgis, a layer has just one scale range.

In Mapguide, if I want a layer “Milepost” be shown as a point from 5000- 500
then with a symbol from 499 – 0, no problem, it’s just a layer “milepost”.

In Argis, we need two layers L

For the viewer, I think that for the future, openlayers will be the best
choice. With openlayers, we have weak coupling with the map server.

So I’m practically sur that a migration to a new Gis Server will take less
time.

Arcgis API/ Geocortex are more specific for esri, and not flexible for a
potential future migration.

On the other hand, I found :

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/infrastructure-map-server/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/autodesk-infrastructure-map-server-end-life-faq.html

*Special Offer from Esri*

Another consideration is this offer from Esri. With the recently announced
collaboration between
Autodesk and Esir, Esri is making a special offer available to AIMS
customers: Between January 7, 2018 through December 31, 2018, each seat of
AIMS, regardless of contract plan (maintenance or subscription), will be
eligible to receive a seat of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Standard
 plus
one additional license of the Esri ArcGIS Desktop Standard
. This is a
free one-time offer for the license and the license will fall under Esri’s
standard maintenance program the following year.

We have 8 seats ! So Esri must provide us : 8 ArcGIS Enterprise
Standard, right
?

Thank you all for your good advice.

Jérôme.

Re: [mapguide-users] Migration Autodesk to Esri

2018-04-09 Thread Jérôme DUCKERS
Hi,

Thank you for all your comment.

I'm part of a big company with a lot of money and an old mentality :(
thinking that if you pay, you've the best service.
But now, we are facing the wall, and we need to take decisions.

More, since 1 year, we are facing a big migration of our applications to
SAP. And for now only Esri is positioning itself as a leader in SAP :(
So, we bought some licenses to provide some map/feature services.
Unfortunately, we already see the limitations of the products.

In terms of infrastructure, we are using Oracle Database with SDO_GEOMETRY.
We refused to work with ST_GEOMETRY, we want to be as generic as possible.
Idem for the front end, everything is thought to use a different viewer
(Autodesk, esri, Google, ).

So if i understand correctly, no one has been confronted with this forced
migration ?

[mapguide-users] decimal separator problem

2015-07-28 Thread Jérôme DUCKERS
Hi Guys,

I’ve a strange problem.

Here, it is:

I make a simple selection on my map, and I get back the data with the
object : MgSelection

I’m using this piece of code :

String filter = sel.GenerateFilter(layer, className);

query.SetFilter(filter);

reader = layer.SelectFeatures(query);

where sel is my MgSelection.

Everything works fine, the generateFilter gives me something like
ID=56.000  AND ID = 64.000

With the records obtained, I propose different type of file output format
(csv, xml, sdf, shp). But the problem comes when I use SHP !

After the generation, the records are well generated in the folder (with
all types format : shp,dbf,…).

But if I retry the selection elsewhere on the map, the GenerateFilter gives
me a result totally different like ID=56,000 AND ID=64,000

The separator value “.” is replaced by “,” and then the selection never
works again.

As someone an idea of what happening ?

I don’t see the relation between the shape creation (osgeo.fdo) and the map
server, the twice object are not linked

Very strange ….

Thanks,

Jérôme.

document.execCommand('SelectAll');document.execCommand(Copy,
false, null);document.body.removeChild(copyDiv);
window.close();}/script/headbody onload=CopyToClipboard()

So use Chrome (with development tool) or Firefox (with the plugin Firebug)

1. Create a connection to your data (sdf/shp/oracle/ ... )
2. Make a Data Query
3. Insert you filter
4. See the result, is the contenido field the same ?

The data are in a SDF or SHP ? Can you send it ?

2013/2/1 naish666 naish...@msn.com

I have done it. It shows the same contenido for all points, but in the
table, the column contenido is different for every registry. Why show the
tooltip the same contenido for al points?
If I left the filter field of the layer (in Maestro) it show all the points
and different contenido for every point, but when I put the filter tip=5
OR tip=6 OR tip=7 it show the same contenido for every point.

Re: [mapguide-users] raster ECW transparency

2013-01-31 Thread Jérôme DUCKERS
Nobody ?

2013/1/25 StuartSteel stuart.st...@atkinsglobal.com

I haven't been able to get it to work either and have been scratching my
 head
about this for a while now. Can somebody please give us a definitive answer
on whether or not MapGuide 2.4 respects nodata bits in rasters provided via
 GDAL?

PNGs are not an acceptable alternative to aerial imagery of several GB in
 size!

 Cheers,
 Stuart

Re: [mapguide-users] Problem using Filter on Layer

2013-01-22 Thread Jérôme DUCKERS
Hello,

The tooltip is depending on your entire layer, not on a thema (filter).
Is the tooltip right when you remove your filter ?

duck.

2013/1/22 naish666 naish...@msn.com

 Hello,

I have a layer with bars, coffe shops, burger... On that layer I have a
column called type (1, 2, 3...) where says if it is a bar, a burguer...
When I put the filter type=1 OR tipe=2 and preview on map it only shows bar
and burguer. The problem is that when I put the cursor over any of the
points always show the same tooltipo whit the name of the same burger.

 What can I do?

Re: [mapguide-users] Creation of a FeatureSource

2012-09-10 Thread Jérôme DUCKERS
I'v founded my mistake, it was an error on the name.

Thanks for your help Gordon.

Best Regards
Jérôme.

2012/9/10 jerome.duckers jerome.duck...@gmail.com

  Hi Gordon,

 Thanks

You have right. If i change to Library = the data is correctly created in
 Maestro, and everything is good.
 The Layer is drawing.

I see that in my layerTemplate, it was :
ResourceIdLibrary://{0}.FeatureSource/ResourceId

I think that's the reason why i did'nt see the draw in my map.
So, i try to replace the
ResourceIdLibrary://{0}.FeatureSource/ResourceId
  by
   ResourceIdSession:{0}//{1}.FeatureSource/ResourceId
// where {0} is the sessionId

 {1} the name

 but nothing on screen :(

 I am always searching.

I tend to create permanent Library connections and layers when debugging,
so i can debug them in Maestro.

change your lines where you have 'Session' to Library

  string resourceId = string.Format(Session:{0}//{ 1} ,sessionId, name);

  string resourceId = string.Format(Library://{0}, name);

 for example.
