Hi,

Well, if this would save you some time perhaps, two sets of png files
from the svg file Bernhard references above.

The first set created at 90 pdi for layout of a brochure:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Icons_for_pamphlet.tgz

the second, just representing the primary modules in the application
where sized for that particular printed piece and exported at 300dpi:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Libo-mime-icons-300dpi.tgz

Just to let you know that those are there.

Thanks, a good idea.

Regards,
Andreas

As we are often looking for some sets to work with in the marketing
section, I have added an entry[1] and a page[2] on the Marketing site
for our reference. Feel free to add more links that may be usefull for us.

Cheers

Marc

Thanks for both compliment and updating the wiki! I think JPG's are not
needed for now too.

Thanks a lot again for your fine work.

Here it is on the Initial Icons page:

And this is the source file:

PS: Creating a page (set of pages) containing the visual design elements

You were at FOSDEM? Too bad I didn't see you there. Well, since we're at it
and you asked the question:
There will be no OOoCON in Paris in 2011, at least none that I would be
organizing. And please remember that I no longer have any role in the OOo
project.

I do not believe that LibreOffice is one out of many others in the OOo
derivatives. But we may disagree here :-) In any case, we're working
towards having a LibreOffice Conference in 2011 in Paris. Hope to see you
there!

Best,
Charles.

Could somebody help me to do and upload JPEG versions, if they are needed?

And what you think about to allow upload BLEND files to the wiki?

I was wondering the same when coming back from FOSDEM and greeting the
volunteers who had been serving at the LibreOffice booth with "See you
at... ?".

The OOoCon 2011 organization is still in the hands of Charles Schultz
(i.e., a TDF Steering Committee member) as far as I know; at least, he
was taking responsibility for it at the end of OOoCon 2010 and I haven't
seen any statement from him saying the OOoCon Paris is canceled.

Moreover, OOoCon has always been a place to discuss anything related to
OpenOffice.org in its broadest meaning (including ODF, including
interesting presentations and even keynotes about derived products such
as Symphony, RedOffice, Go-OO, NeoOffice, OOo4Kids...), so I don't see
anything preventing LibreOffice from being one of the "stars" at OOoCon
2011.

Needless to say, I know nothing about what happened at CeBit; but
sharing a booth at a fair seems a totally different issue than the
annual family gathering.

Regards,
  Andrea.

[libreoffice-marketing] Re: LibreOffice Community starts 50, 000 Euro challenge for setting-up its foundation

General question: How to announce the availability of the banners (of
course, first we need some more), so that people start to use them on
their own pages?

Hi Christoph

I think the best way to announce the availability would be:
* firstly, through the TDF Announce list
* Italo could then send out marketing announcements
* announce on all TDF and LibreOffice mailing lists

From there the word will propagate quickly enough.

We should have quite a few more than now. We will definitely need the
smaller size banners for left/right website blocks. I know that I
personally will not use the large banner on my sites as they are too
large -- I will use the smaller banners that will fit on my side
left/right columns though.

Could we also have a dedicated wiki page for the banners? This will
avoid people getting confused over the materials on the Website wiki
page. Maybe we could combine these with some regular "LibreOffice"
banners that could be used on external websites as well. The wiki page
would be a kind of "market place of banners for external use".

Cheers

Marc
