Re: MD: Sharp 702 issues.
Hi Phil I have heard of several people with similar problems to yours, and the solution which seems to have worked for most people is to take the unit apart and make sure that the ribbon cables inside the unit are all attached properly. Have a look at my website at http://www.btinternet.com/~ighorsey and follow the links to 702 disassembly for instructions on how to take the unit apart. You don't need to be a genius with a screwdriver to do this, but previous experience would help you no end! If you have any further questions please e-mail me off list. After pressing volume once or twice, the keybeeps decrease (suddenly) to normal volume, but all that is heard is hum. It tends to hum considerably more before it has started to play. = "Nullus Anxietas" http://www.btinternet.com/~ighorsey ICQ # : 41782725 __ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Re: MD: Sharp 702 issues.
Alright, I followed the directions, opened the sucker up, and everything looked alright. For fun, I pushed on each rib cable, and things seemed tight I then powered it up and tried it, and, low and behold, it worked perfectly. I don't know what I did, but it works now :) Thanks a lot.
