I just use a gas price app on my iPhone. It finds the cheapest gas based on my location. I don't use it for my car, but I do for the wife's. FYI - my last tank of fuel in the S500 jumped to 17.4 MPG from he mid 16s. Not exactly sure, but I'll see if the trend continues with the next fillup of top tier fuel. [MBZ] M119 Cam Oiler Tubes
Anyone ever done this job? Looks pretty straightforward for the most part. My oil pressure is not what I would like it to be at hot idle, and I suspect that I might have a leaky or bad cam oiler tube or two. I definitely have the OE plastic tubes in my engine. I can get a set of OEM aluminum tubes with new O rings from a W140 buddy for $230. He gets them off engines at the PnP and cleans them in an ultrasonic cleaner and puts new O rings on them. They may or may not cause the lifters to make noise depending on how bad/many of them are leaking. MB changed the design to prevent this from happening, as I understand it. At least they made metal versions of the tubes in later production models. It's one of those not if but when sort of things. A pretty easy job form the looks of things. This is sort of worst case, but Gump had the front riser fail. It sheered the riser, the internal oil channel was exposed. Oil pressure went to 0. I donated my IBM luggable to Goodwill when we moved two years ago. It came with an 8088, 256kb memory, and dual 5¼ floppies. I had to buy a new BIOS to install an ST225 hardrive in on of the drive bays. I bought it with an AVL board (that had it's own CPU running CPM) and used it for many years programming multi-image shows. Powerpoint and LCD projectors killed that business. That site, I'm sure was intended to store high-level wastes (the really hot stuff left over from refueling an atomic fission power plant, for example).
