Get the Akebonos - very very little brake dust (but they do dust some, just not at a volume of OE or OEM pads) and they really do work very well. Put them on new rotors (I used Balo a few years ago, not sure what Rusty sells now). While talking to Rusty, order the MB wheel bearing grease and the new seals. T'was over a year ago now I redid every piece of the braking system on my '83 240D except the master cyl (which is now failing of course) with the cheapest parts Rusty had.
